Finally a movie worth seeing! - 09/26/08 01:55 PM
I haven't noticed many movies I care to go to a theatre to see. So once in a while a great one comes out that I can't wait to see!
It's finally released today. It's called Fireproof and if it's half as good as the last movie these people produced, it should be worth seeing a few times. I personally can't wait to see it.

I can guarantee it will be a movie the whole family will enjoy. It will be in 800 theatres across the nation. Go see it, you won't be sorry.
Check it out here first if … (7 comments)

Homes & Land surveys more than 1300 homebuyers about their neighbors

Tallahassee, FL (September 22, 2008) – If you want to be a good neighbor, you might want to keep the noise down.  According to a survey by Homes & Land, one of the nation’s top real estate marketing companies, nearly a third of respondents cite noise as their chief complaint against their neighbor.  The poll was conducted over a three month period between July – September of this year and included comments from more than 1300 active homebuyers from the U.S. and Canada.            “We offer several polls throughout … (1 comments)

Concerning my pervious post from 9/07/08 http://activerain.com/blogsview/678713/Are-you-depresse
Senior Pastor Tommy Nelson of Denton Bible Church in Texas shares his views and experience with clinical depresssion. It's really good and worthwhile for all, not just Christians. Very eye-opening. I pray this helps somebody.

Sex Sells! - 09/08/08 11:28 AM
There was a post the other day by that title. And I believe it is very true, unfortunately. I say unfortunately because it has become very accepted in our society. Sexy is in, and has been for over 40 years now. The definition seems to change a little from time to time, such as, thin is in, then voluptuous is in, then thin is in again... it seems to be a moving target. I've even enjoyed the phase myself where bald is in. Something for everyone. I'm especially drawn to the bald stage... as I'm all over that.
So with that … (4 comments)

Are you depressed? - 09/07/08 07:43 AM
Sorry, but I'm not asking about the conditions of your real estate market but of your health. Here are just a few facts I found from http://www.upliftprogram.com/depression_stats.html. I personally know many people currently taking medication for this disease and it's very troublesome.
Depression Statistics

Depressive disorders affect approximately 18.8 million American adults or about 9.5% of the U.S. population age 18 and older in a given year. This includes major depressive disorder, dysthymic disorder, and bipolar disorder.  Everyone, will at some time in their life be affected by depression -- their own or someone else's, according to Australian Government statistics. … (1 comments)

Who can love you like this? - 09/05/08 04:42 PM
We just returned our oldest daughter Gretchen to college the other week. It coincided with The Call in DC so we stopped there to show our support of Lew Engle since it was close to our route. It was a marvelous time praying and fasting for our country and our collective futures.
Our next stop overnight was MorningStar Fellowship Church and a room at Heritage Ministries Hotel. We highly recommend this place, the Spirit of the Lord is so thick there you can really feel it, not to mention a decent room is only $60. a night. Don't expect many amenities … (2 comments)

"I have food to eat that you know nothing about." - 09/04/08 08:28 AM
Then his disciples said to each other, "Could someone have brought Him food?"
"My food," said Jesus, "is to do the will of Him who sent me and to finish his work." John 4:32-34
This was said just before Jesus talked about the harvest time. Today, if you would just take one minute to pause and think before you respond to someone who maybe has offended, enraged, irritated or just kind of rubbed you the wrong way... Think of these timeless words. They were spoken by God the Son knowing He was going to be mistreated, beaten beyond recognition, spate upon, … (3 comments)

This just in... - 09/02/08 05:08 PM
Thoughts on advertising from Realtor Mark Owens from San Diego in response to an article posted on Inman.com "Drop two agents of equal skill, talent and experience into a strange new city. They each have a $10,000 advertising budget. They have 120 days to produce sales and collect paychecks. Agent #1 inhabits the online world... Websites, pay per click, free SEO, blog, web 2.0, etc. Agent #2 hangs out at Kinkos and can only do print...Homes & Land, Classified, Penny Saver, Door hangers, Flyers stapled to phone polls, etc. Prediction...On Day 121 Agent #2 will have to lend Agent #1 money … (0 comments)

Thank you for Praying... but there is no time to rest... - 09/02/08 01:27 PM
I would say that our nation had some success with Gustav yesterday. I really believe that prayer was a major factor. if there is one righteous man in Louisiana... but we know there are many more than that. Thank you Lord for your mercy. It could have been so much worse.

We must stay diligent and take authority over these other storms now as well. Please keep praying with us, these natural disasters effect many lives, wreak havoc on budgets and just stretch our faith in so many ways. We have the greatest weapon against these things known to the … (4 comments)
