Everyone loves A Charlie Brown Christmas. It was written and first aired on Dec. 9th 1965. What some folks don't know is that it almost never aired. According to wikipedia, the broadcasting company, CBS didn't like the story itself, and the use of jazz music didn't thrill them either. This came in my weekly message from Pastor Francis... and seemed very timely. I've personally been struggling with loving our new president and many members of Congress, who in my mind, appear to want to destroy our country. Not to mention our courts still allow a million babies to be killed each year. The Lord has been telling me that He is going to help me learn to love them, that I'm compelled to love them regardless of their actions. This came in an email reply from a friend we made in Israel this past summer. They are 2 young pastors moving to Kansas City to plant a new church this coming year. God loves His children and he wants us all to follow the Green Bay Packers!

Our favorite clock in our kitchen stopped working a few months back. I replaced the battery and still nothing. That's when I heard the Lord speak into my heart, we put too much emphasis on TIME. He reminded me that we are in this world but not of it. We are also seated in heavenly places even when we appear to be right here.
