It Is Written... - 02/28/12 06:21 AM
What's worse than not having something you really need? I would say having something you really need but don't use. I just heard this statistic yesterday, that only approximately 16% of Christians read their Bibles everyday, and it killed me to believe that it's true. I am always hearing people saying things like "How can we know the will of God?" or "I just don't know what to do about ______." or "I don't know where the money's coming from to pay my bills this month?". You can insert any anxious, fearful or concerning thought you've heard or may have thought (14 comments)
Federal Employees Owe $3.4 Billion in Taxes - 02/13/12 03:07 PM
As reported by Michael Cohn of Accounting Today Washington D.C. January 30,2012 More than 279,000 federal employees, including members of the military, collectively owed approximately $3.42 Billion in unpaid taxes as of Sept. 25, 2010, up 3.26 percent from the prior year, according to a recently released report from the Internal Revenue Service. The annual Federal Employee/Retiree Delinquency Inventory showed that among them are 36 aides to President Obama, according to ABC News, who collectively owed $833,970. Congress too had its share of tax delinquents, with 217 employees at the Senate owing a total of $2,134,501, while 467 employees at the (3 comments)
It Is Time... for Restoration or How To Recover From Sexual Abuse - 02/10/12 11:32 AM
HOW DOES A PERSON RECOVER FROM SEXUAL ABUSE? A sleeping giant has been awakened inside me recently with the news of the Jerry Sandusky Grand Jury indictment. A wound I thought was healed has been scratched open again. I was a sexually abused child. This kind of thing happens much more than most people would know. It is more common than anyone would even think possible and it isn't just in recent years. It's been going on since the beginning of time. I've just recently within the last 5 years divulged this to anyone for the first time ever. That's how (7 comments)
The Proof is in the Pudding - 02/09/12 12:17 PM
The other day I posted on how everything in this world must first start in the spirit realm. The place that there is no proof of existence to those who don't believe. You can read it here It all has to start somewhere-The Secret to Life. Now here is a true occurrence of exactly what I was talking about. It was nicely packaged for me by my beautiful wife Bonnie. She's been driving school bus this year and loves touching the lives of these children on a daily basis. She is currently driving a short bus which is synonymous with special (3 comments)
A Random Act of Kindness Can Change A Life - 02/07/12 05:53 PM
I saw this recently and it brought a tear to my eye. I lived through the 60's, loved the Green Bay Packers and also witnessed much of the civil rights unrest. It was different for us here in the north but still were very trying and tumultous times. This video is just so inspiring and makes me want to show unconditional love to everyone because you just never know when it will change a life in an instant. Willie Davis was the Reggie White of his day. A very good and much feared defensive end. Apparently, he was a loving man (8 comments)
The Republican Field and my 2 cents - 02/03/12 02:01 PM
I believe there is still hope for America. I believe that Americans can still get things right. I still believe in an America that is the strongest nation on the face of the earth. I still believe in a country where we are all endowed by our Creator with our unalienable rights. Not right to wi-fi, or big screen tvs or the best smart phones or the best fashions but the right to live and die free. When we are this far into an election year and there is still one candidate many think is too extreme but yet still heavily (9 comments)
Phil, You're Fired! - 02/02/12 08:52 AM
I've grown tired of this little rodent wrongly predicting the weather for all these years. I've decided to do something about it this year. I put Abby on it. Abby is our wonder dog border collie and I think she hates Phil more than we do, at least judging by the way she hunts and shakes him. Putting all other rodent prognosticators on notice, if you come around here... Abby is on patrol 24/7. Sorry Phil but with a 39% success rate in predicting the weather, our weathermen are at least 50%... You're Fired. Now, it's time to have some umm (15 comments)
Dog is God spelled backwards... - 02/01/12 08:48 AM
Do you know why dogs don't live as long as humans? It's because they don't have to learn unconditional love. That's a joke that goes around in Christian circles but I believe there is much truth in this. Humans don't come out of the womb and practice unconditional love. In fact, we come out with the most conditional love there is. If we aren't fed, kept warm, hugged and loved, we just cry and cry until we get what we need. In some other culture, I think it may have been Nazi Germany, some scientists tested what would happen if a (4 comments)
