inspiration: The Glue of Life - 05/25/12 06:58 AM
All things are held together by something. If we didn't have gravity, we would be floating weightlessly as in outer space. Our cells are the exact same way, if there wasn't an adhesion protein molecule called laminin in them, they wouldn't be able to stay together and we could not live as we do... we'd be a puddle of goo! Proverbs 25:2 The Message version: God delights in concealing things; scientists delight in discovering things. This protein molecule which was hidden from view for thousands of years has been discovered in our lifetime and it is known now that it is

inspiration: Is the Market Getting Better? - 04/28/12 10:27 AM
I ran into Frank Christophel, Executive VP of our local real estate board the other week. I asked him how long he had been the exec. veep at LCAR. "37 years." he said. I asked him if in those 37 years had he ever witnessed a market anything like this? He said, "Not even close, not even the 20% interest days and I've never seen less of a reason for it either." Fear has gripped our nation and it has to be confronted before real change will take place. It's all a big analysis paralysis thing that's been going on. I

inspiration: One In A Million Sounds Better... But Still A Miracle! - 04/25/12 07:00 AM
This past week we were privileged to be part of a miracle healing. One of our amazing worship leaders from our church was struck down with a serious sudden illness. Her name is Tiffany Aitken and along with her husband Jon, they lead worship a few times a month at our church, Life Center. She is a young mother of 3 beautiful children and last Monday she was feeling really poorly. *When taken in for examination she was ordered directly to the hospital and diagnosed with what we first heard to be a blood clot in a lung and later turned

inspiration: A Metaphor for Life - 03/31/12 06:21 AM
I saw a man walking down the street coming towards me with a pack on his back. It was really loaded and looked unbearably heavy. As he got closer I asked him what he was carrying around, that it looked heavy. He didn't smile and said, "You know it's just my cross to bear brother." I said it looks like the opposite to me. He went on beyond me scolding me the entire way out of sight. A while back a friend of ours had a bad cancer and she insisted until the day she died (much too young) that Jesus

inspiration: "Why do bad things happen to good people?" - 03/12/12 08:24 AM
I heard this from the mouths of survivors of the last round of horrific tornadoes to hit our country the other week. "Why do bad things happen to good people?" Well it's a bit of a mystery to me as well. Whenever I have trouble defining something I always turn to the best dictionary I have... The Bible. Everything I want to know is in there. What I read is time after time that there are "good" people having all kinds of bad come upon them. Why? Why God? I'm left with this, these things happen because God wants to see

inspiration: God is... in simple terms. - 03/09/12 07:39 AM
God is...God is not able to be described in human terms. We don’t have the words in our vocabulary that adequately describe Him or His majesty.Feeble as they are, here’s the best I can do... He is that smell of breakfast being cooked while still awaking. Good things to come.He is your spouse asking if you want something when you don’t deserve to be waited on.He is that coincidence of running into someone just minutes after you thought of them for the first time in like forever. He is the artist painting the evening sunset and the morning sky.He is the laughter

inspiration: Joy in God’s Faithfulness - 03/05/12 01:29 PM
Seeing the President today with the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made me think of this scripture today. Zephaniah 3:14-17 Joy in God’s Faithfulness 14 Sing, O daughter of Zion!Shout, O Israel!Be glad and rejoice with all your heart,O daughter of Jerusalem!15 The Lord has taken away your judgments,He has cast out your enemy. The King of Israel, the Lord, is in your midst; You shall see disaster no more. 16 In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem:“Do not fear; Zion, let not your hands be weak.17 The Lord your God in your midst,The Mighty One, will save;He will rejoice over you with gladness,He will quiet

inspiration: It Is Written... - 02/28/12 06:21 AM
What's worse than not having something you really need? I would say having something you really need but don't use. I just heard this statistic yesterday, that only approximately 16% of Christians read their Bibles everyday, and it killed me to believe that it's true. I am always hearing people saying things like "How can we know the will of God?" or "I just don't know what to do about ______." or "I don't know where the money's coming from to pay my bills this month?". You can insert any anxious, fearful or concerning thought you've heard or may have thought

inspiration: The Proof is in the Pudding - 02/09/12 12:17 PM
The other day I posted on how everything in this world must first start in the spirit realm. The place that there is no proof of existence to those who don't believe. You can read it here It all has to start somewhere-The Secret to Life. Now here is a true occurrence of exactly what I was talking about. It was nicely packaged for me by my beautiful wife Bonnie. She's been driving school bus this year and loves touching the lives of these children on a daily basis. She is currently driving a short bus which is synonymous with special

inspiration: A Random Act of Kindness Can Change A Life - 02/07/12 05:53 PM
I saw this recently and it brought a tear to my eye. I lived through the 60's, loved the Green Bay Packers and also witnessed much of the civil rights unrest. It was different for us here in the north but still were very trying and tumultous times. This video is just so inspiring and makes me want to show unconditional love to everyone because you just never know when it will change a life in an instant. Willie Davis was the Reggie White of his day. A very good and much feared defensive end. Apparently, he was a loving man

inspiration: Have you ever seemed to notice... - 07/12/11 10:54 AM
...when we complain about some type of behavior in others, and we're really honest with ourselves, we have the same problem? Why is that? If you already disagreed, don't waste your time reading further, you aren't ready yet. But if you agree please read on. I believe that it irritates us simply because our spirit knows we do it as well. Our spirit which is now the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead, wants us to notice something that needs to change in us. You see, those of us who call ourselves children of God have given up our

inspiration: Wisdom from unknown sources... - 05/03/11 09:56 AM
Luke 11:38-40 (Amplified Bible) 38 The Pharisee noticed and was astonished [to see] that Jesus did not first wash before dinner. 39 But the Lord said to him, Now you Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the plate, but inside you yourselves are full of greed and robbery and extortion and malice and wickedness. 40 You senseless (foolish, stupid) ones [acting without reflection or intelligence]! Did not He Who made the outside make the inside also? I was astonished yesterday yet again by Christian-ike actions coming from someone who doesn't know Jesus. I'm not so astonished that this person

inspiration: In Times of Trouble... Go to the Secret Place... - 04/30/11 11:26 AM
With the last batch of terrible storms to hit our country... I'm again driven to Psalm 91. I hide myself in Thee Lord. This is how God works in our lives: Bonnie first mentioned how she's been drawn to Psalm 91 lately, I've come across it in online when reading something, I have heard two songs lately singing about it... He just draws us to that secret place. Why do these things happen? Many people want to know. Although I don't have the definitive answer and I believe no man on earth ever will, I find these tragic events drive me

inspiration: Lack of Revelation... is our only problem. - 04/20/11 01:07 PM
"You're not suffering from a lack of finances... you're suffering from a lack of revelation!" That's what someone said to me recently and he was absolutely correct. We can do so many things on our own without ever including Jesus in the equation that we sometimes forget to seek Him first. Everything that has ever been known or will be known... He already knows it. Africa is considered the poorest continent of all on the earth. The life expectancy is averaging 50 years and that includes the richest and most affluent country, South Africa. Other African nations life-expectancy rates are: Botswana

inspiration: Who Are You? - 03/04/11 10:34 AM
I'm speaking to the Body of Christ now, Who Are YOU? Do you know? We see the result of our current education system and the greek mindset that it's based on at play in most people we have contact with. We were created for better things for sure. We are the most valued of all spirits ever created in this world. Do you think God picks the spirits he wants in his creation at random? I don't believe that for a second. God is a purposeful and intentional God. He picked this time to put you and me here, for such

inspiration: Is this a special day? - 01/20/11 12:03 PM
A friend informed us early this morning how this is a dark day in history. The day that Roe V Wade was passed into law. They sounded so somber and depressed about it. I laughed when Bonnie told me about it. Why did I find it funny? First of all, this isn't the date the law was passed, it was made law on Jan. 22, 1973... so they were jumping the gun, a little overeager perhaps? Oh, the fact that the Roe V Wade law is still law is not funny. What I find funny is how so many New Covenant

inspiration: Happy Ruth-Dot.com day! - 12/13/10 05:41 PM
No don't bother looking it up. It is only a fictional day a friend of mine coined. And it's only known to us, but there is a funny story attached to it. 4 years ago today, my mom passed away. She was 86 and lived a full life. She loved Jesus so I know where she is now and I'll get to see her again someday. On that same day, when I put the obituary together and sent it in to be published. I checked it the next day for typos and such and I happened to notice an old friend

inspiration: Too much Tuesday... - 12/07/10 06:25 PM
We gave our youngest daughter latitude to paint her own bedroom last year. She could pick colors and I'd help her paint it but she wanted to help. She was 16 when we did this. She did all the "extra artwork". It was part of her birthday wish. We are so amazed by this girl. It is no wonder she is as wonderful a daughter as a man could ever be Blessed by. (Lightning struck twice actually)... Take a look... this is just about 1/3 of her room. The rest looks alot like this... not much space left for anything else.

inspiration: I CAN ONLY IMAGINE... - 12/06/10 12:16 PM
what it will be like to meet Jesus in the flesh some day. I broke down in tears this morning in my normal worship time, while singing I Can Only Imagine, the song by Mercy Me. The lyrics are so very real... Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel, Will I dance for you Jesus, or in awe of you - be still. Will I stand in your presence or to my knees will I fall, Will I sing Hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all? I can only imagine. A few years ago, I felt
