testimonies: Handling Adversity - 10/07/11 04:38 PM
It's been a while since I posted anything. Life has been coming at us rather hard, fast and furious of late. Some might say we are starting to resemble Job's life, we look at it a bit differently of course. We've had a rash of bad things lately. I don't really remember when or where it started. Our main tractor broke down and wouldn't start. No money availabe to fix so I tried on my own. No salt. So it sat for a few months and we've been getting by with our little lawn tractor and push DR brush mower. The

testimonies: A quick testimony... - 03/03/11 05:16 PM
We've been hosting a group of teens in our home each Sunday night. Giving them whatever the Lord puts on our hearts at that time. This past Sunday we had some spiritual sons visiting with us from our Fire & Fragrance DTS. It's a YWAM program through our church. These boys are so on fire and very much in love with Jesus. After worshipping for awhile we had some prayer time and then some prophecy over the group. Out of the blue, one boy named Nate blurted out, "I've just been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis." He is much too young to

testimonies: FORGIVENESS, It's not the easy way out... - 09/15/10 04:20 PM
For those who have read of my friend John... the one who lost his dear wife and almost his own life in a horrific motorcycle accident in May of 2009? I last wrote about him in this post: http://activerain.com/blogsview/1814829/another-kind-of-dream-realized- and http://activerain.com/blogsview/1239705/-your-comprehension-is-not-prerequisite-to-your-cooperation- He just left after coming back to PA for a visit. We got to ski together again on a very rough day on the river... but just to see him ski again is so miraculous. NOW here is what John is doing. John wanted to know what we thought about him contacting the people that caused his accident. He

testimonies: A LOVE THAT RESTORES... Part 6- He Makes All Things New - 11/06/09 01:40 PM
I chose today to finish my testimony series. Today is signifcant for 2 different reasons, 1st of which is, today I turn 4 years old in the Lord. Just 4 short years ago today, I awoke never expecting to meet the Creator of the entire universe, nor did I expect to be born a second time. And yet, regardless of my head knowledge and in spite of my beliefs, my heart was changed on this day, a 180 degree change. I will share the 2nd reason at the end. Throughout our first year of walking with God, we went to work

testimonies: A LOVE THAT RESTORES... Part 5- The Restoration Begins... - 10/20/09 10:13 PM

My new birthday and a day I will always celebrate as my real birthday. For I truly was born again on this date. Just as a baby comes out of the womb and instinctively starts breathing, I knew I had to tell everyone about what just happened. I don't remember saying any prayer outloud, just inwardly opening my heart for Jesus to come in and start working. Basically all I did after all this happened was to say... OK, I'm yours, I surrender. Bonnie later described

testimonies: A LOVE THAT RESTORES... Part 4- When Heaven and Earth Collide - 10/12/09 08:44 AM
The end of my music career had come 5 years before the day that time stood still for me. The Day the Music died... I had spent the last 7 years or so playing with a regional band that had been together for a long time. It was Pentagon w/Rich Claar along with our 50's show and alter egos Rico & The Ravens. We did really well for a part time band and it was time consuming. Along with

testimonies: A LOVE THAT RESTORES... Part 3- The Truth Hurts - 10/07/09 12:05 PM
We've all heard the expression, "The truth hurts". It's only the receiver it really hurts though. I've learned that a true friend, the kind you never ever want to cut loose from your life, is the one who will tell you the truth regardless of how much it may hurt. A seed planted in the ground must first die in order to become what it is to become. There is no life until there is death. That is the truth. We did alot of boating for quite a few years... our friends, the Hubers, moved to Illinois as I previously explained,

testimonies: A LOVE THAT RESTORES... Part 2- Going Deeper... - 10/01/09 11:26 AM
Once you have one child, what's another right? 3.5 years later we were joined by Jessica. Now armed with 1.5 children, we're catching up to the normal sized family. We found a bigger home that had an empty 3rd bedroom, we just had to fill it. Our family was complete and we were getting deeper into the parenting pool. We obviously didn't know what we were doing, but started by making sure our children had everything, especially everything we didn't as children. But most of all, we did pour love on them. After moving to our newest home and palace for

testimonies: A LOVE THAT RESTORES... Part 1- The Shallow End - 09/24/09 11:16 AM
It was something I said to Mike Frazier about being an athiest most of my life that seemed to pique his curiosity. I lived most of my life in the shallow end of the pool and today I'm so deep in the river, I can't tell which way I'm going. So, Mike, here I go...In a recent message you suggested you would like to see me post my testimony. Not even 4 years ago... I was one of the most selfish people you'd ever meet. But not on the surface, I've had many people tell me all my life what a

testimonies: Who can love you like this? - 09/05/08 04:42 PM
We just returned our oldest daughter Gretchen to college the other week. It coincided with The Call in DC so we stopped there to show our support of Lew Engle since it was close to our route. It was a marvelous time praying and fasting for our country and our collective futures. Our next stop overnight was MorningStar Fellowship Church and a room at Heritage Ministries Hotel. We highly recommend this place, the Spirit of the Lord is so thick there you can really feel it, not to mention a decent room is only $60. a night. Don't expect many amenities
