Tips to Speed Up Your Home Inspection The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors recommends the following to speed up your home sale. By preparing your home ahead of time using the following tips, your home inspection will go smoother, with fewer concerns to delay closing. Confirm that that the water, electrical and gas services are turned on (including pilot lights). Make sure your pets won't hinder your home inspection. This is crazy...it's January 5th in Iowa...and todays high is going to be in the 50's? Don't get me wrong...I think it's great! Perfect for removing the Christmas decorations and having it all put away til next year without having to worry about frostbite! However, I think we're on borrowed time.
