I am sure all of you thought I dropped off the planet.  I did not but I was sick for sometime with that timeless disease called ALL CAUGHT UP. I am sure you all know it. Making plans and then getting all caught up. Well I found a doctor for the disease and the Doctor's name is YOU HAVE A BRAIN and I am now cured. It happened 12/31/2010 at midnight. Let me not digress on with the story of Brooklyn and why I like it. It is a small town yet a big city, offers me high rise buildings and city lights, and yet has areas that look like Savannah Ga. It gives me foreign countries, with the areas that speak many languages, and eat many different foods. It has history, big bridges with long names, close by train to Broadway.  It has movie and TV stars, Hip hop, jazz, restaurants and that is just a start of a city that is called a borough. Brooklyn is one of five (5) boroughs that make up the place call New York City. I like to call it the new Manhattan. Today since food is a big part of my life in Brooklyn, I want to tell you about a place in Brooklyn I like to spend quality time. It is a pier in an area called Red Hook. The pier is long so I use it to do speed walking, then I sit and listen to the water, water taxis and watch the Statue of Liberty. It seems so close sometimes like I could really touch it. It sometimes amazes me how we as Americans can have such bad discourse with one another with such a beautiful symbol as our countries icon. Just something to think about till next time......... I live in Brooklyn and I love it.
