Let's start there. Curb Appeal - 1. Curb Appeal; The first impression your home makes on the arrival of any visitor. It's referred to as (12 comments)

Yesterday I read this post. I thought it would be cool to have a button on the bottom of my blog posts so people could share the blog with their friends. Today I posted my listing - with the hopes that the Sellers or potential Buyers would send it to their friends and family. RJ's instructions were great! If you missed this post, it's definitely worth reading!
Via RJ Baxter (First Mortgage Corp): How To Add This AddThis Button I felt compelled to write this post. Despite many great blogs both ActiveRain and non-ActiveRain on this topic, I had a (10 comments)
Founders Pointe is one of the few subdivisions that continues to not follow the trends here in Middle Tennessee. Last year we posted that their 2008 sales were strong and that EVERY home that was listed in 2008 SOLD. There were no expired or withdrawn listings. That's amazing for a neighborhood that size. Here we've charted 2007, 2008 and 2009 so you can see how prices and sales have changed over the last couple of years.
Located in desireable Holt Woods in the Nippers' Corner area of Nashville TN, this home is in MOVE-IN condition! It has over 2000 square feet all on the same level. The kitchen is large with a comfortable eating area. The formal dining room is just off the greatroom. The Greatroom has vaulted ceilings and a gas start fireplace. The second and (2 comments)
Nashville TN Real Estate January Sales Increase 6% - 02/09/10 06:08 PM
Nashville TN Real Estate January Sales Increase 6% Today the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors posted that property sales had increased 6% in the month of January 2010 over January 2009 sales. Many have been skeptical about how much the First Time HomeBuyers' Tax Credit was actually helping the local economy. Sales had increased over 60% in November and that was very clearly a result of the Tax Credit. The jump in January shows that local confidence in the economy is still strong compared to last year. These numbers are significant because the unemployment rate hit an all time high of (5 comments)
Is NOW the TIME TO PURCHASE A HOME? You bet it is! Intrest rates are still incredibly low and the government is giving TAX CREDITS to first time Home Buyers and to those that have lived in their homes for 5 years or more. I am currently in the market for a home. I have been hearing more and more about the Feds ending their program to buy the mortgage backed securities in March of this year. My lender keeps telling me that the rates will go up. I didn't want to blog about the Rates Increasing until I understood (4 comments)
Middle Tennesseans feel the Stress of their Past Due Mortgages - 02/07/10 05:41 PM
Middle Tennesseans feel the Stress of their Past Due Mortgages Today it was reported that 5.8% of Nashville area home loans were more than 90 days past due. North Nashville, LaVergne, Antioch and Madison area codes had defaults of over 8%. The national average is 8.4% but middle Tennessee has thus far stayed well below the national average. These neighborhoods and others like them have a high concentration of moderate to lower income homeowners. With unemployment hitting 9.4% in December, these same homeowners are often some of those first cut from their jobs when companies downsize or just trim their budgets. (6 comments)
The Power of Active Rain, Lisa Udy Challenges us to Pay it Forward! - 02/03/10 10:34 AM
The Power of Active Rain, Lisa Udy Challenges us to Pay it Forward! The Power of Active Rain dumbfounded me for many months. I joined AR in May of 2008 thanks to my good friend and AR Blogger Emily Lowe. As she tried to teach me the reason for networking, one of her main points was The Power of Active Rain to generate leads. I began reading blogs and trying to understand what people were writing about and why. Nima Rezvan wrote the following post in 2007: The Power of Active Rain E-Networking turns into Face-to-Face Networking! He talked about meeting (12 comments)
Brentwood Baptist Church's Chinese ministry has begun to meet on Sundays in the new Baskin Chapel. They are currently being led by Scott Harris, the missions minister. The sermon is being preached in English while Sun Lu interprets for him. They are currently seeking a Chinese minister for this new ministry. "The Chinese word is very condensed. It can capture in one word in Chinese that is a paragraph or several sentences in English. When we say it in Chinese, it reveals to us a deeper meaning, so that's (13 comments)
Copperfield, situated just a block from Nippers' Corner has the advantage of accessing Brentwood from either its Old Hickory Boulevard entrance or that on Cloverland on the southern end. Built in the early 90's it was very "cutting edge" when Radnor came out with these unique contemporary designs.
Located in Davidson County but with a Brentwood TN mailing address this neighborhood has easy access to all parts of Middle Tennessee. Prices dropped just 4%, very consistant will some of the other well placed subdivisions.
