Homes sales in the Nashville TN area have increased each month for 7 months straight compared to the same months a year ago.

January saw prices increase almost 1.5% compared to January of 2011. The actual number of closings increased 16%!
Realtors are saying that business has picked up tremendously. Most feel that the bottom on home prices has hit and are seeing price increases. People are feeling more confident about the economy and their jobs locally.

Home sales in Brentwood TN have really picked up this year. With the mild winter, Buyers have started their spring shopping early in 2012. Not only have the number of sales increased compared to the same time last year, prices have seen a nice increase too.
 
Brentwood TN Real Estate shows that there are currently 96 homes pending at an average asking price of $631,722.

Williamson County Real Estate is starting to show new life. Sales were up 16% in January compared to January 2011. Prices inched up too.
 
Pending sales are at a high not seen in the past several years. There are currently 360 homes pending. Of those, 242 are New Construction, or 67%.
Williamson County has 1752 homes for sale county wide. This comes to about an 11 month supply of inventory. It's still a Buyers market, overall, but a neighborhood by neighborhood review shows that some areas are already turning … (2 comments)

It's Your Group do whatever you want, but why are 2 and 3 year old posts still Featured?
I don't know about you, but I belong to a lot of groups. I post in some groups often and others I visit occasionally. When I have extra time, I love going through some of the groups to see what's new and who's writing in them.

Franklin TN Real Estate is usually the most reliable and successful of all of Middle Tennessee. Though the numbers can vary from month to month, the huge swings from year to year do not usually happen.
The number of homes closed in the month of January is down somewhat in Franklin, but we believe that the number only reflects the Resale Market. New Construction in Franklin is up for the first time in several years.

At the beginning of 2011 I had about 55 Subscribers. I didn't know if that was a lot or a few. I wasn't that concerned about it. I had been an AR member since May of 2008, about Two and a Half Years.

As the weeks went by, the number kept going up. By summer I was well over 150. At this point I was actually getting excited so in the fall, I set my goal to hit 200 subscribers by the end of the year.

It seems like Points is an often discussed topic here in the Rain. Kind of like the never ending discussion on Featured Posts and what is feature worthy.

The Greater Nashville Association of Realtors reported that there were 1377 closings in January 2012 up 25% from the 1101 closings in January 2011! January sales have increased each year since 2009. While this is great news, we still have a long way to go.
 
There were 1615 pending sales at the end of the month of January compared to 1270 in the same time period of 2011. Inventory is down to 17,949 compared to 20,347 in January of 2011.

We spent the whole day yesterday going through my Father-in-law's things. We had the weekend to get everything out of his assisted living apartment.
I don't know about you, but I hate waste. I recycle anything and everything I can.
The facility was delighted with the box of Videos and CDs of War movies and Big Band music. The activities director couldn't believe the selection she had just inherited!

I often read posts that are a mess.
The writer is probably bored. It's probably after dinner and they've had a couple too many sips of something.
Some of the sentences don't make sense and the spelling is off a wee bit.
Do you think they ever go back and read these posts? Clean them up?

It doesn't seem that long ago that I wrote about Jim's mother, Maude, passing away. She was just shy of 97 but in relatively good health.The year before, I lost my Aunt Margaret at age 100.
These were not young people. You knew that anything could happen at any time. But the truth is, even knowing you're blessed each day to have them that when something DOES happen, it won't be the right time for you. You're just not ready for them to go yet.

Technology, you can love it and you can absolutely hate it!
 
Saturday my cell phone went on the blink. Totally black, no picture, nothing. Sunday the screen re-appeared.
Not taking any chances I went to the Sprint store and got a new phone so they could transfer my data.
I'll be the first to admit, my phone had seen better days but I've really been fighting the Smart Phone. I don't think I want everything at my fingertips ALL the time.
