Can a real estate agent really get 26% more for a home than a private seller? This is a claim that a realtor made in a post on his blog.

In order to be a realtor, an individual must pass the required courses administered by the Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA). Up completion, they submit an application to the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO). A license to sell real estate will be issued.
An Ontario real estate owner can control their own private sale. They will assume the role of a realtor by conducting open houses, advertising and completing their transaction.

A major news agency recently organized a debate between a For Sale By Owner company and a Real Estate Broker.
Viewers of this online debate were able to post their opinion. They could vote on which side created the strongest argument plus add their thoughts as to why agents aren't needed.
The results? The For Sale By Owner side captured 66% of the votes. This shows that the majority of people want to sell privately in the future.
