Claire Cardwell, International Advisor at the University of Iowa's International Programs office will speak on her experiences working in Kosovo.  Her first 6 months were spent working with children and the last 6 months were spent working with Albanian, Serbian, and Roma youth.  She also worked on women's issues on the side developing a manual for domestic violence procedures in the area and assisted the UN police with Sexual Assault cases in Mitrovica.

The Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival committee announced last night (Tuesday, March 27) that Finger Eleven and .38 Special will headline the annual festival which will last from June 19 - July 4th.  The yearly event features many attractions that take place throughout the Cedar Rapids area and draws thousands of people to the community. 
Finger Eleven will play June 26th at the US Cellular Center.
.38 Special will play June 30th at the Kirkwood Community College campus.
