NASCAR NATION: Martinsville is a Day Late and a Dollar Short for Some - 03/29/10 08:11 PM
Martinsville ended up being a day late and a dollar short for some of NASCAR's Sprint Cup drivers.  Since yesterday's race was rained out, the drivers were able to race under cloudy but dry skies today.  I had to work but was only able to fend off my curiosity for the first half of the race.  I was listening to the live broadcast when the excitement got to be just too much.  Off went the computer and on went the TV.  I'm glad I decided to watch, too.

Sorry for the delay in writing this.  I have been unapologetically busy as of late (I'm not complaining, believe me!).  I always make time to stop down and watch the NASCAR Sprint Cup races.  The battle at Bristol 500 was no different.  With rain threatening to overtake the track at anytime, the first short track race of the season brought on some great racing.  Early on, Kurt Busch's blue deuce had a strong showing, as did Jimmie Johnson's #48 and Greg Biffle's #16.  The lead changed hands almost two dozen times throughout the race as well.  Luckily, the rain that was … (3 comments)

Oh my goodness!  Chili stuffed peppers.  This is a new recipe I tried out earlier this week and it was sooooo good that I just had to share.
Ingredients:4 large red or green bell peppers (I prefer green)1/2 lb extra lean ground beef1 medium onion, finely chopped (should make 1/2 cup)1 15-16 oz can of kidney beans, rinsed & drained1 15 oz can of tomato puree1 4 oz can chopped green chiles (undrained)2 tsp chili powder1/2 tsp ground cuminGrated cheese (optional)

Sorry, NASCAR Nation.  I've been gone for a couple weeks.  Tons of stuff that's been going on in my personal and professional life that has kept me busy and away from social media.  But I'm back.  I haven't been missing my NASCAR (heaven forbid).  However, I have been unable to keep up with my NASCAR blogging.  That is being remedied right now!
