On the way back home from my brother's wedding in Vegas over the weekend, we had to pass through Southern California's Cajon Pass. clouds: Clouds Rise from the Ground? - 09/07/09 05:16 PM
Clouds rise from the ground? I always thought they were created in the skies above us. However, this guy seemed to rise up from the ground in a sort of mushroom formation. It was so big, I couldn't get a vantage point that would allow me to capture the whole thing in my lens. But, it was too amazing a formation to pass up a photo op.

Apparently, Mother Nature means business over the Southern California skies. And business is good! We have been experiencing thunder, lightening and occasional outbursts of light sprinkles.
