Not sure what areas to buy?
When I represent a buyer who is relocating to Orange County or moving up from their current home, I ask them specific questions to analyze their needs. There are good areas in Southern California that make buying a good investment as well as short sales and foreclosure opportunities. A second thing I make sure they do is to get pre-qualified and pre-approved for a home loan. SoCal home prices down 27% from '07 levels
Housing prices in Southern California continued their record-setting decline in May, falling 27% from year-ago levels, as lenders continued to depress median prices by dumping foreclosed homes in rising numbers, according to DataQuick Information Systems. Housing prices have now rolled back to early 2004 levels, DataQuick reports.
