Just when you thought you were NOT confused on facebook... Here comes ANOTHER change! Facebook recently announced a 'confidential' change to the way people engage with fan pages. While many are still trying to figure out the difference between a group and a fan page, Facebook is now going to change the verbiage from "become a fan" to "like". During this time, much of our focus is on the economy. For many, it is on "lack" vs. Abundance. I talked with someone the other day who was laid off in '08. He is currently doing IT related contract work, and mentioned that he has more work that he can do. He seemed very stressed about money, and "not knowing" how long the work will last. Wow, what a roller coaster the past few weeks have been! The news certainly hasn’t been great, but it’s also being spun in very broad strokes. To say that ALL credit is frozen is about as accurate as the media’s portrayal of the housing market for the past year! Recent events have definitely affected many financial institutions. Home sales are up in Apex NC and Cary NC! That's right, UP! Turn off the national news and read on! February home sales in Apex were up 87% (versus February 2007), and up 60% from January to February of this year! (Based on Triangle MLS data). That's incredible. And interest rates just dropped to 5.5% (fixed)*!!! Now truly is a great time to buy and sell. Potential buyers, folks considering a move to a new area, and others find great value in being able to "see the area" online. Posting photos can allow you to help these consumers as well as local business owners easily! Using Picasa by Google, or other online photo albums, you can easily upload photos for the public.
