ko olina: Kai Lani Ocean View Property For Sale - Great For VA Purchasers - 08/26/11 08:33 PM
Kai Lani in the Ko Olina Resort and Marina currently has 6 properties for sale priced between $654K and $725K. These are all 2 bedroom townhouses and each of them have their own individual views, at least one of which is an unobstructed view. I just love Kai Lani, it is where I live myself. It is the only residential neighborhood with the exception of the Beach Villas at Ko Olina that gives you the expansive views of the ocean the northern view of the Waianae Coast and mountains. Gorgeous as sunset comes along and a short walk thru preservation property to the

ko olina: The Home Stretch for the Beach Villas at Ko Olina - 08/14/09 03:15 AM
Whether you are new to this string on the Beach Villas at Ko Olina or have been following it since December... welcome! In either event, it might be a good time for a review of that last year. As is the custom, if you want to read the full details, links to the earlier articles are at the end of this. When we began this story, the Villas were about half sold and were being offered with some slight price reductions, but were essentially priced close to the prices that the first 127 units had sold for. That was December

ko olina: Ko Olina Beach Villa Final Sale event rescheduled to July 25th - 05/29/09 02:51 AM
The final sale event, originally scheduled for June 6th and 7th has been rescheduled until the weekend of July 25th according to Bruce Sloan, Division President, Centex Destination Properties - Hawaii. The purpose of the rescheduling was explained in a letter from Mr. Sloan sent to the current reservation holders. The following is a portion of that letter: "With the prospect of the completion of sales by Centex Destination Properties at the Sales Event, some of our existing owners have expressed concern about the future use and operation of the amenities and grounds at the Beach Villas. We are currently contemplating

ko olina: Ko Olina Center and Ko Olina Station at Ko Olina - 04/07/09 01:12 PM
I've been asked a few times about the shopping center that is currently being built in Ko Olina in front of Coconut Plantations. While I had the leasing information, I had never really explored what was going to be there and who the tenants were going to be. The best part of this "cyberworld" that we live in is the ability to have information shared and passed from one to the other. Such is the way I learned enough to post some details on Ko Olina Center and Ko Olina Station. My thanks to Doc who sent me the following links:

ko olina: Beach Villas at Ko Olina Final Sale Event Update - 03/02/09 03:58 AM
Saturday February 28th marked the last day existing owners were able to complete their reservations and have their priority on the owners list. As such, it was absolutely wild around the sales office! At 4:30 pm on Saturday when I left with my clients I believe there were 10 people in the office who were waiting to meet with the marketing staff. I was both startled by the crowd and glad that we were time stamped with the last of our reservations. With the unofficial tally estimated between owners and new purchasers combined at 70+ including my last three, the marketing staff is well on their

ko olina: The Beach Villas at Ko Olina - 12/07/08 11:54 PM
"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined." Henry David Thoreau I'm about to celebrate my second anniversary of living in Ko Olina. When I'm asked why I moved here, the best answer I've come up with is "sheer desire". It's hard to describe with words, but it has been a move that has brought the quote above to life for me. The Beach Villas at Ko Olina were being built when we moved here. Now they are 100% complete and the Developer's vision of creating a unique residential beachfront paradise have been achieved beyond belief. Built on the 2nd

ko olina: November 2008 Oahu Real Estate Statistics - 12/04/08 09:34 PM
November 2008 Oahu Real Estate Statistics As we come to the close of another month, we find the news continues to be half empty or half full, depending on your perspective. While demand for housing was the lowest in ten years, the inventory of both single family homes and condominiums also went down. This resulted in a drop of the "monthly inventory remaining" from 9.8 months to 8.6 months in single family homes and from 8.7 months to 8.4 months in condominiums. From a "trend" point of view, this is a trend in the right direction. The number of units sold

ko olina: Market Stats through first 6 months of 2008 in Oahu, Hawaii - 07/04/08 08:45 PM
Market Stats through first 6 months of 2008 The first 6 months of statistics for Oahu, HI are now available through the link below. There is truly a wealth of information in them and probably something for everybody whether you are a buyer, investor, seller or homeowner wondering about a move. The most significant stats in my opinion is the reduction of units sold which is compounded by the increasing numbers of units available for sale. We will normally refer to this as the "Monthly Inventory" and as the numbers of months required to sell the existing inventory increases, it becomes

ko olina: May 2008 Oahu real estate statistics - 06/07/08 03:42 PM
As numbers for another month become available, there is good information for Buyers and Sellers to take note of. The numbers of unit sales is down considerably but prices are remaining fairly stable. For sellers, this means that homes are selling and for those that are priced well, days on market and list price to sale price ratios are favorable. Pricing and market exposure are more important than ever and the best of the best listings are selling but coming in 2nd or 3rd on a buyers choice is not good enough. The good news is that if you have a home

ko olina: Ko Olina residential neighborhoods, pictures and information - 06/02/08 09:38 PM
Ko Olina is sometimes overlooked as a place to not only vacation, but to live year round. There are currently 5 different neighborhoods sprinkled throughout the resort and each of them have a different look and feel to them. Settings, architecture, amenities and price range all create different choices depending on what a person is looking for. What they all share in common is being located in the beautiful Ko Olina resort and all 5 communities will allow you to be members of the Ocean Club with access to the pools, tennis courts, gym and to receive discounts within the

ko olina: Ko Olina & the Disney resort - 05/29/08 07:55 PM
As the pages of the calendar fall to the floor, what seemed a distant event begins to appear closer. From the first time I heard the rumor, it was easy to believe and easy to imagine. Disney was going to build a hotel in Ko Olina. The Disney family is a pretty good family to have moving into our neighborhood! Not only for the investment and jobs that will be brought, but for the quality of the corporation and the people who are part of it. ko olina: The Superferry - 12/18/07 08:00 PM
Few stories have created as much "stir" in the Islands as the Hawaii Superferry. In fact, it is a real contender for the story of the year. After a 4 month delay, the Superferry resumed service to Maui last Thursday but now finds itself facing another court challenge. The latest challenge is from Maui Tomorrow on the constitutionality of the Hawaiian legislation's Special Session that neutralized the Superferry from it's last Hawaii Supreme Court defeat. Whether you are for or against the Superferry, it has provided interesting insights of the Hawaiian Islands and the diverse people who live here. Few projects have elicited such strong reactions from so many different interests groups on the
