These are the hottest houses to hit the Louisville real estate market:

I am happy to say that I've seen a definite upturn in the Louisville real estate market over the last two weeks. I think the spring market has begun, even with snow on the ground! Yesterday I got an accepted contract on a house I listed 2 weeks ago - two weeks! That makes 10 contracts we have pending right now, and all of our other 11 listings are getting showings. This is good news for sellers in the Louisville area, it shows that buyers aren't just looking - buyers are buying! Of course, this year will still be a buyers market, but at least the sellers are seeing a light at the end of the winter tunnel. - Heidi Fore, Keller Williams Realty Louisville East

My top three reasons why Louisville is a great place to buy a house:

1. House prices are super-low compared to the rest of the country.

2. The people here are so friendly, you'll never want to move.

3. Prices have gone up every year for at least 20 years. Our market prices don't have ups and downs.

I love Louisville Kentucky so much, I wrote a book How To Buy A Home in Louisville Kentucky, and I made a 10 minute video of what it's like to live here:

My video,  Virtually Living in Louisville, is a ten minute tour of the area to show you what it's like to live here year-round. In these ten minutes you'll see Louisville neighborhoods, places to eat and shop and party, see the downtown area and then ride through the Kentucky rolling hills in the country.
