In my previous post, I told you about a great article from CareerBuilders.com, ranking Idaho the second best place in the nation for Jobs.
Idaho, particularly Boise, has been recognized for many, many different "Best of..., Best Place..., Best City... Best States" rankings in the National Media over the past several years.
An article in Friday's Statesman gives us a bit more information on what looks to be another Top 5 we're going to be proud of. Forbes Magazine was recently in Boise interviewing executives at a few of the local tech companies for the company's annual Best Places for Business and Careers edition, which comes out in about a month.
Based on the article, it appears that Boise Idaho is going to be in the Top 5! Another great boost for Boise, and another positive for our local Real Estate Market.

For the past several years, Idaho has taken "Top 5" billing in so many different polls. This sleepy little state of less than 1.5 million people is getting recognized for being "Best of" in so many different areas! This morning, an article from CareerBuilder.com was forwarded to my by a colleague, and I'm proud to say that we are able to tout yet another reason as to why Idaho is such a fabulous place to be! Career Builder put together a wonderful article determining the 15 best states to find work ranked by their unemployment rates. Guess what. Idaho Ranked #2!
Unemployment rate: 3 percent Population: 1,499,402 Mean annual wage: $34,810 Top industry: Trade, transportation and utilities (20.2 percent)
Based on facts provided to me by the U.S. Department of Labor the national unemployment rate is 4.9%- 1.9% higher than Idaho! To read the entire article, and see where your state ranks, visit CareerBuilders.com. Check back soon, as I have another post in the works giving Boise another pat on the back! Talk soon,

and what they 're forgetting to tell you is (drum roll please)- There is no such thing as a National Housing Market!
Each and every city's real estate market is unique. The unfortunate decline in some areas of the country don't have much to do with other areas that aren't seeing the massive foreclosures and price reductions.
Can you say, S-P-I-N... Guess what, Katie Couric- The majority of Americans aren't loosing their homes. The market hasn't tanked. The mortgage companies haven't stopped loaning money (as a matter of fact, there are some wonderful financing programs available- and rates are still great!).
