Successful Grand Opening in Sonora California - 09/30/10 04:22 PM
Kohl's had its official opening yesterday morning.  Doors were opened at 7 am with many local official and shoppers watching the ribbon cutting.
 
The store hired 130 locals.  That should really help our economy.  The line of people waiting to shop should also help the economy but generating sales tax.

How many homes for sale in Tuolumne County? - 09/30/10 01:36 PM
As of last week there were 555 active residential listings.  WOW!  Considering on 423 homes have sold this year, that means we have 11.8 months of inventory.  What does this mean to you the seller?  You need to price you home to sell.  Don't price it based on what you want or what you need.  Price it based on what is selling.  Call a professional to help you price your home!

Union Hill Inn - Sonora California - 09/27/10 01:08 AM
My friends got married on Saturday here in Sonora California.  They choose Union Hill Inn as their location.  It was so beautiful.  Union Hill is described as "Rustic Refined" and that is perfect.  The old barn has been refined into a rustic chapel.  The old chicken coop has been refined into the Hall.  It was so private and elegant and yet only a few minutes to downtown Sonora CA.  The grounds are available for the entire weekend.  This is perfect for weddings because you can actually spend time with your out of town family and friends.  There several "cottages" for overnight … (3 comments)

Kohl's in Sonora California - 09/27/10 12:52 AM
Kohl's has opened in the old Gottschalks location.  They were suppose to open on September 29, 2010 but had a "secret" opening this weekend.  Having this new store is so great for Sonora and Tuolumne County.  We lost Gottschalks and Mervyns and have been limited not only in our shopping places but also jobs for the community.  We are now looking forward to Lowe's opening in Sonora CA in 2011.  The new construction is coming along nicely and will also provide many jobs for the Sonora CA area.

Sonora California Taco Bell Temporarily Closed - 09/24/10 03:58 PM
I blogged a few weeks ago about the Taco Bell on Mono Way in Sonora being remodeled.  The drive-thru was still opened but as of September 20th the entire store is closed.  They are scheduled to reopen on October 1st.  They are working hard on both the exterior and interior of the building.  I can't wait for it to re-open.  I love the Cinnamon Twists!

Seven Sisters Restaurant at Black Oak Casino in Tuoumne CA is featuring the "Seven Sisters Tasting Menu".  This menu is on Wednesdays and Thursdays only.  You choose from their special menu an appetizer and entree and it also comes with the Chef's Signature Dessert Sampler.  All of this for $29.95.  It was not only delicious but also the perfect amount of food.

Sonora Taco Bell being Remodeled - 09/08/10 04:02 PM
The Taco Bell in Sonora is getting a face lift.  I went through the drive through today as the interior is closed.  I asked the girl at the drive thru if they were expanding.  She said this Taco Bell was built in 1990 and wasn't updated like the other locations.  I thought that was humorous because we live in a very old town with many buildings built in the late 1800's!  The drive thru is open for now but will close September 20th until October 1st.  If you get the Taco Bell craving don't forget about the location inside Wal Mart.

Saturday September 4, 2010 will be the last Concerts in the Pines for 2010.  Come to Eproson Park in Twain Harte California.  The music starts at 6:00 and goes until about 8:00.  The music for the evening is "Rick and the Rockets" which is 50's Favorites.  Bring your dancing shoes!
