foreclosures: Hermosa Beach Foreclosure and Short Sale Update - 01/18/10 03:19 PM

This past week we've seen a number of new short sale listings come onto the real estate market in Hermosa Beachas the usual January market heats up a bit. There are currently 11 active homes for sale of which all are short sales other than the home on Monterey which is bank owned. Of the 11 most have been on the market for some time with the recent additions of 1216 2nd Street, 1062 3rd Street, and 222 Culper Court that were just put on the market this week. Hermosa Beach continues to see a fairly steady stream of short sale listings and there are currently 7 homes on the market at some stage of the foreclosure process with several others currently in escrow. Of the seven homes on the market 2 of the homes are condominums, 1 is a townhome and there are 4 singel family homes. foreclosures: Searching for a deal? You're not the only one - 07/06/08 03:52 PM

This is a strange market indeed. Certain properties sit forever without an offer while others get multiple offers and get bid up over asking price. The problem is that the media only seems to mention the first situation which keeps buyers thinking that everything is negotiable and that they are the only ones out there looking for a "deal".
Unfortunately this isn't the case. With the rash of short sales and bank owned properties impacting South Bay cities such as Hawthorne, Gardena and Torrance, buyers need to better understand the market and try to get a sense of the strategy that the … (7 comments)
