One of the things I love best about living in Hermosa Beach is that it truly has a small town feel and you simply can't help running into people you know. One of the more social events of the year is the St Patricks Day parade that runs down Pier Avenue. This year the sun came out, the wind died down and it was a perfect day for a parade (other than the construction on Pier Ave). There are your usual parade wavers (the mayor, city councilman, chamber of commerce, etc, but what makes the parade fun is that just about anyone

The number of short sale and foreclosure listings has increased slightly in Hermosa Beach in the past few weeks with some previously listed homes coming back onto the market and some new listings coming onto the market just this week. There are currently 13 homes on the market at some stage of the foreclosure or short sale process with 8 single family homes, 3 townhomes, and 2 condos. If you're looking for a great way to spend the day....you may want to visit Fiesta Hermosa this weekend. The fair is open from 10am-6pm on Saturday, Sunday and Monday and has something for everyone. Festivities include food courts, arts and craft booths, live music and much much more. The fair has been part of Memorial Day and Labor Day and has been going on for over 39 years.
