Yes, I'm a realtor and my son used Craigslist to find a rental.  He, trying to be Mr. Independent, called the listing on Craigslist and set up an appointment to go see the listing.  Maybe, since the property was so far away from me, he was trying to spare Mom the travel time.  When he did call me to talk about it, I looked at the listing on the multiple list.  To my surprise the listing was with a different Broker/Agent.  Something wasn't right!  I called the Agent on the MLS and she was very upset.  Someone had stolen her listing and illegally put it on Craigslist.  That same person was meeting clients (like my son),  showing them the property and performing real estate transactions.  I know the market is tight but come on lets do it legally.  You are probably wondering what happened with my son.  Well, I told him not to give this agent any money whatsover and I took over as his realtor.  The lesson learned was:  it is probably a good practice to scan Craigslist for your listings and to educate your family as to what a realtor can do for them.
