What do REALTORS do the week after the Christmas Holiday? - 12/26/07 02:08 PM
Seriously, what are you doing today to make this next year any better than last year: 2007 has been? I am catching up on e-mail again! and just realized that I have a whole new list of no-no words that I have to enter into my spam list or if you don't have a spam list to use you can just use the Tools, Rules Wizard tool in Outlook to redirect those nagging-enhancement, dating, ROLEX watch, e-mails. I personally like to read the ones that talk about sales and marketing tips so I let those come through even when they get to be (3 comments)
A Holiday Postcard from Plano, TX - 12/26/07 01:45 PM
You won't get any virus' from reading this one! We have a few neat traditions at our house this time of year and I wanted to share a bit of the flavor with all of you. There is a Subdivision, I guess every town has one that "does up the houses for the holidays". My husband actually brags that he won first place one year (there was a $20.00 prize!). We don't go that far anymore, instead we travel just down the street about a mile and visit "Deerfield". Then when we get home, I bake for Santa and we have hot chocolate (0 comments)
15 days to Freshen a New Year - 12/26/07 12:46 PM
At twelve midnight we all will have 5 days left in this year of 2007 and that's five days to finish our goals for the year and perhaps make some ammends for anything that might have need of mending? I learned something that had been bothering me for a couple of months today-had one of those AHA moments and now have a better plan for next year because of it. What have you learned recently that will help you next year? Might be time to contemplate that one! It seems that there are a few (check the Blogs link and you can see (2 comments)
Some days are better than others! - 12/19/07 10:27 AM
Yesterday was a pretty good day all things considered. I took my daughter to school and came home to change out of my sweats and get ready for the workday. I printed out my assignments, kissed my husband and took off before 9 am. I like to get out the door before other people get on the road these days. I did get lost (My own fault!)even though I printed out my maps-for some reason, I decided to start from the end and that messed up my plans a bit- see how one little change can mess up your day? I wasn't sure how the (0 comments)
12 Reasons to by your first home during the holidays - 12/16/07 03:59 PM
1. There have never been more homes to choose from. The selection is fantastic. 2. Interest rates are at historic lows and are still coming down. 3. Lots of homes that you can buy, even for under $150,000 right now! 4. FHA Financing is better this year than next if your credit is a bit colorful.5. Lenders aren't as busy and can process loans faster. 6. Purchasing a home is the best long term investment most families ever make. 7. During the holidays there is less competition from other buyers. 8. Home ownership has tax advantages over renting, and those advantages (0 comments)
REALTORS a moment please! - 12/05/07 05:18 PM
Should you be marketing any of your listings a bit differently? Today when you take a listing do you ever have a slightly sinking feeling that says hmmm this one's going to be a tough one to sell? Have you ever wondered if the buyer that is THE buyer for a particular listing is really "local"? Perhaps not. So what do you do? I started off on this track because I have been asked to help market a development in Mexico. Now I know that I am going to get replys from everyone with either a CIPS or IRES. That's OK those (0 comments)
A better way to blog? - 12/05/07 04:43 PM
No one mentioned that there might be a better way to blog on Active Rain- I really should have taken advantage of the newcomer's group, I guess! Next time I want to create a dialog I will reply to my own blog with the next "chapter" in the story! Then everyone can follow one line of thought and not have to wander around all of them to get my drift. Ooops. My bad, I'll get better at it eventually. Sometimes it just comes to you over time! or when you are fixing your lunch! (0 comments)
That language thing - 12/05/07 11:32 AM
How did your numbers come out? Now I may have counted wrong by a bit because remember my primary language is just one of those choices so sometimes I don't SEE all of the words the way you will either! Remember that sentence! I don't see the way you do either! Here are my answers: Seeing=7 Hearing=13 Feeling words=10 What did I mean by the sentence I said to remember, in the last paragraph? I don't see they way you do because I'm very busy HEARING! the words! Some of you are busy FEELING The words! So you only look for feeling words. Are you (2 comments)
Is there a Secret Language inside of the English Language? - 12/05/07 10:36 AM
What language are you speaking? Ok thanks for asking! Would you think I was crazy if I told you that even if you think you think that you speak English that's not the only language that you can speak? I'm not talking about the accents that we enjoy across the country, either!Follow me for a few moments and see if this doesn't work for you, too!Is there someone in your life that you find yourself getting very, very frustrated with frequently? I hope it's not your spouse but, it's ok because we are going to talk about that right now. You'll see, (2 comments)

I SHOULD have known better! - 12/05/07 09:38 AM
After all the time I have had a license you would think that I would know better! But, No, I too have walked a crooked path in this business. Getting back to the message. I took a REALTOR.com class yesterday. Some of you are thinking why would you do that! Those that feel that way, feel that way because it's so darn easy to do. Yes, I felt silly afterwards for not paying better attention in the past, this was different though this was a hands on class. (As a technical trainer, that made a difference and I know that it (4 comments)
REALTOR ATTACK and ABDUCTION IN SANTA FE, NM - 12/05/07 08:45 AM
This was in my in box this morning and I believe that AR is one of the fastest ways to distribute so I am including it with my comment to pay attention to your bodies reaction to people and before you go out in the morning "feel" the day. That motto of the Scouts is so useful! Be prepared and by the way-don't be stupid! As parents if it doesn't feel right, don't let the kids go out! Not to offend anyone but, I believe that if we paid a whole lot more attention to what is happening around us, including to (3 comments)
