Remember when? Art Linkletter was asked about the idea of spending time with loved ones this is what he said:
"I once asked a five-year-old what he would take with him if he were going to Heaven. He replied, 'I would take my parents because I think that up there they would have more time with me'... nuff said."

When I thought of what I wanted to say today I thought of all of the good things that have happened this year and then realized-some of those I would have to "spin" to find the good in it. Maybe what I am most thankful for is the ability to find the good in all that has happened.

It's been a busy year. We have lost 3 family members to death this year, which is why my posts have slacked off a lot. As some of you know I am licensed in two states: Texas and Florida which works for us because we enjoy the Sunshine state and we have children and grands who live there. Which brings me to the point. My oldest daughter and mother to two of our grandchildren has had her home on the market for over a year in south FLorida. She is Mrs Clean (You can eat at my house but, probably not off the floor!) It seems like this time of year everything slows down and collects itself for the burst of life that is spring.
*Now is the time we clean out the house with the heavy equipment.*Empty the fridge and really get it sparkling clean. *Defrost the freezer in the gargage.*Let's get crazy and pull them out and wash under it!*Tidy the yard.*Plant the bulbs.*Plan a garage sale.*Paint outside while the weather still holds up.*Open the windows and air out the house.*Maybe even wash a few windows?
