local: A little Mom Proud today: Carlisle Elementary School Plano, TX 75023 - 01/06/11 06:25 PM
Our youngest daughter Alison, surprised us today with an e-mail that said she is one of 3 in the District with a shot at getting (winning) a $1000. savings bond for her poster. The energy company Oncor came by their school and brought big pads of drawing paper, Markets, Crayons, colored pencils and paints and they gave a presentation to the 5th graders about electricity and some safety tips. All of the kids took home this gift set and then they asked the students to draw a poster about what they had learned and submit it to win a $1000. savings

Fourth of July Events Can Change Your Life If you are shopping for a home in Richardson, Plano or any other city. Now might be a good time to come and meet some neighbors. As REALTORS we are often asked "what about the neighborhood." This is a rare opportunity to just go see for yourself. Go to the 4th of July celebration in the new town of your choice and reach out, smile, comment on the display, the weather, the kids-break some ice and share something of yourself and others will do the same. a wistful comment about-"Oh those are my favorite!" might

I have made a personal decision: from now on if I don't read the issue-I don't comment on it. I admit in the past I have been too quick to react sometimes and that does get your foot in your mouth that requires major surgery to remove! Last Friday, I received a letter from the school telling us that they would not air the Presidential speech today for our children at school-I talked to my husband about

local: It's not just the coyote moon! Notes from TEXAS - 01/15/08 05:33 PM
You know sometimes I end up speaking to people in other countries during my workdays. Today I had called India for help on their 800 number 5 times and I was more than a little bit peeved when they continued to cut me off and disconnect every time they put me on hold. I didn't know at the start that I was headed to a long, long distance visit around the world. In fact I thought I would be talking to a bank somewhere in the US. It was not meant to be. The last call turned out to be even stranger-as

local: Open houses-are you visiting them? or holding them? - 10/19/07 01:00 PM
This link suggests that the answer to the question is not so much! http://www.realtor.org/RMODaily.nsf/pages/News2007101501?OpenDocument For those Sellers who are wanting their REALTOR to hold an open house think about these real statistics: But, wait just a minute: In the past two months I personally have held open houses in two different areas of the Metroplex, Coppell and Frisco/Little Elm, my intent being to meet prospective buyers. (I have been almost religious about this every Sunday except two I have been "sitting") The results could not have been more different! When doing the Open houses in Coppell there are always 4-6 couples or families that come
