Did you know 50% of distressed homeowners go into foreclosure silently? They don't know what to do or where to turn to so they give up and do nothing. I am happy to announce that I am in the final stages of obtaining my SFR designation - Short Sales & Foreclosure Resource Certification. NAR recently released statistics revealing the NATIONAL home sales activity had dropped in November 2009 16% over 2008. However, our LOCAL market here in Northern Virginia had seen an increase of 6.2% in contract activity.  Real estate has always been and will always be hyper-location based. In my own neighborhood there is a much different picture from one side of the street to the other side of the street due to one side belonging to a very desirable zip code and the other side not so much. 22042 zip vs. 22046 zip have very different statistics yet they are a stones … (1 comments)
