WHY HIRE A PROFESSIONAL, IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO TAKE THEIR ADVICE?? - 04/19/08 04:20 PM
I'm sure many of you who are professionals in any field, but certainly a Realtor has this happen more than once.
A potential client calls and sets up an appointment, to talk about putting their property on the market. After presenting a Comparative Market Analysis,and answering all their questions, you say, "Based on all the information available, your property should be $150,000".
And they say, "Well that's fine, but I think we should set the selling price at $175,000, because my property is much better than all those that have SOLD."  What's amazing is that they can say this with a straight face, … (0 comments)

What We Need Is Another Golf Course! - 04/06/08 11:24 PM
Hemet, Ca. is a relatively small community of less than 100,000 people. We have very few major retail stores, even less nice restaurants, but we do have is seven golf courses! Now I know that the Hemet-San Jacinto Valley was (in the 60's) created for those who had reached the ripe old age of 55, and was, and still is, the perfect town to spend the winter. It doesn't snow here, seldom rains, is located within an hours drive to Palm Springs, the Pacific Ocean, San Diego, and the snow,if you miss yours, all the businesses catered to the "seniors".

Many,many years ago, the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley, was a small farming community. In 1960 Art Linkletter and a couple of friends developed a community of 1472 mobile homes, restricted to those 55 years and older. This community has 4 seperate clubhouses, each one serves a different purpose. The main one houses the pool,spa,library etc. One of them is a hugh ballroom for their monthly dances, there are also several "laundryrooms" scattered around the community. The reason for this is that in the 60's most mobiles did not have laundrry hook-ups.
