HENDRICKS COUNTY, INDIANA- For the fourth straight month, home sale prices in all nine Central Indiana counties year-to-date through October have increased over 2009 by an average of nearly 9%, according to sales statistics compiled by Chris Castetter. Meanwhile, pended home sales are down -40.7% over October 2009, with an average of -9.7 percent for the year. Today's real estate market in Hendricks County Indiana is sending some very conflicting messages to realtors, sellers, appraisers and buyers. We are experiencing somewhat of a "sawtooth recovery."We all see signs of stablization in the local economy and the possible rise in home values. Those signs pointing up are soon followed by more signs that point us back toward a downward trend.... Thus an up and down sawtooth sort of trend. Tucker Company. October pended home sales overall were 12.1 percent less than October 2006.
