When I was a kid growing up my Grandmother was a guiding force in my life. She would bake, discipline, and dispense wisdom like there was no tomorrow.
One of my Grandmothers favorite sayings was " You got yourself in a real Pickle there". Then she would purse her lips together as if she had just taken a big bite out of a Juicy Dill Pickle. We all knew what she meant.
Today in our troubling economic times I would suspect that my Grandma would be talking about Pickles all day long. How many of us have been living our lives … (5 comments)

Barbara had been unsucessful  in selling the farm that her late husband Scottie had built from scratch. The Farm one of the last remaining large parcels of land inside the city limits catered to families flocking to the fields for U-Pick Berries, Grapes, and several varieties of Apples, Pears, Cherries and Plums.
