You could argue that adding a dog to your family should lower your homeowner’s insurance costs. They are guarders of the dwelling, loyal to their owners and their home, scaring off potential threats and predators. Not to mention that there are millions of stray dogs in the US in need of a loving home. Why not reward people for taking in a dog and better protecting their home?
