real estate: January is the beginning of a whole new year! - 01/16/12 12:27 PM
January is when everything begins anew.  Here in Alaska it is traditionally on of the slower months, but that is because so many people are busy during the holidays.  However, it should be noted that this should be one of you busiest times of the year.
This is when you need to decide if you will selling a home in the spring.  You need to decide which Realtor you will be choosing.  If you're a buyer you're looking at neighborhoods you might want to move to.
See there is lots of activity in January.  Now is when everything begins.  so get … (1 comments)

real estate: Inspiration through Books - 10/28/11 06:33 AM
I saw this list on the Mastery Guilds blog and thought it was a great list of books.  They had several others that dealt with buisiness, but these books dealt with me, and sometimes thats the real support that is needed

real estate: "Steady as she goes" A Market Update! - 12/22/09 09:40 AM
"Steady as she goes"
We've heard this many times.  Keep a steady but consistent pace.  Doesn't sound real sexy but it is the 'Cure for what ails you".  A steady real estate market is a wonderful thing.
Homes are selling each week.  We get few new listings.  The inventory does not go up, although we could use a little more to keep the buyers happy.  The nation housing news came out today and it was positive across the country.  There are some expectations that the next couple of months will be slower.
Not here in Eagle River.  We are forecasting more … (2 comments)

real estate: Eagle River Real Estate Market update September 23, 2009 - 09/23/09 06:40 AM
What's happening in the Eagle river Market this week?  that is a question I keep getting asked and  I have a great answer, but before I going to the weekly numbers I would like to share with a conversation I had Saturday evening at the Annual Chugiak/Eagle River Chamber of Commerce fund raiser.
I know I'm name dropping, but so would you, and this is Alaska.  My wife and I were looking at all the very cool items in the silent auction and we had the opportunity to speak for several minutes with Senator Mark Begich.  We exchange pleasantries and I asked Senator Begich … (0 comments)

real estate: New Construction starts are up! - 06/08/09 08:58 AM
As we enter into the new construction season and saw dust starts to fly through the air, one wonders will we get back to the growth we saw just a few years ago.
I believe we will see steady growth in new construction side of real estate.  In Eagle River we will see steady growth.  Powder Ridge is seeing several new homes this year.  Nolan homes, LLC is almost finished with a a home and there are open houses there each weekend.
Nolan Homes is currently marketing 22 new homes in the Powder Ridge subdivision.  There is a myriad of styles and … (0 comments)

real estate: End of the year/New Beginnings - 12/31/08 06:45 AM

2008 is drawing to a close and for the last month I have been analyzing what worked and what did not.  I believe the first ten months of this year were pretty good, the last two, not so good.  I like most people, think that while it wasn't as good as previous years, it was still a decent year.
I was successful, and helped others obtain their goals.  Not all goals were obtained; and there is much to work on in the coming year.  This last week I finished my 2009 Business Plan.  I was honest with myself and took a … (0 comments)

real estate: Why do you work there? - 12/10/08 04:59 AM

By ericbushnell
Has anyone ever asked you why you work there?  You know, where you're currently working.  They do know that you have a choice and that you choose to work there.
Or do you?  I mean do you realize that you have a choice?  We make choices in life everyday.  Sometime we choose to make changes and many times we choose not to act.  The later is sometimes the most prudent.  However when it comes to you place of employment, non action can come from fear, fear of change.
What if you make a bad decision?
