I don't know about you but the last thing I want to do is spend a lot of time and money putting together a newsletter to send to my clients. I do believe that it is important to keep my name and contact information in front of them at least once a month and a newsletter is the best way to get that done. I have gone online and seen lots of companies that offer newsletter services and will send them out for me but the problem is I don't want to join a club, pay a setup fee, pick articles, send them my client list, update my client list for them, or pay an arm and leg to get it done. A lot of the newsletters look so polished and are so many pages that clients ignore them as being just another advertisement.
When I send out my newsletters I like them to have a down home look and not be over 2 pages. I find that my clients respond to a newsletter that looks like I made it just for them. I always include at least one other marketing piece with my newsletter and have been getting fantastic results and a lot of referral business with this strategy.
I use a company that has quality newsletters for a price anybody can afford (we all know how much marketing materials cost). If you want to check them out go to farmthem.com. They sell 24 customized newsletters (two years worth) for about $25.00 and you can create your own free sample to look at before you buy. The best thing is you download all 24 in pdf format the second you buy them. I like them so much I allowed them to use my picture on their sample. The only problem I have encountered is that if you want to email them you have to separate them into individual newsletters because they all come in one file. I use a free program you can download called Primo PDF and it works great. I think every agent who emails anything should have a copy of Primo PDF installed on their computer. It allows you to convert almost any file to a PDF format which is very easy to email.
Newsletters are the most cost effective method I have found to get my name in front of past clients as well as future prospects. You don't have to sell the farm and spend all day to put one together.
