Here is another suggestion of a great Overland Park KS event to particpate in to help our City.  The annual  Overland Park  Council President's Green Space Golf Tournament is scheduled for September 23, 2011.
The Council President's Green Space Golf Tournament will take place at one of Overland Park's great golf courses, St. Andrews Golf Course.  Proceeds to benefit the Arts and Recreation Foundation of Overland Park .

Did you know that the City of Overland Park is the recipient of a piece of steel from the World Trade Center 9-11 terrorist attack?  The 14 foot piece of steel arrived in July.  There will be a groundbreaking ceremony on September 11th for the opening of the memorial for the public to attend at the Overland Park Fire Training Center.(photo courtesy City of Overland Park).
