activerain: How to Maximize Your ActiveRain Blog's Search Engine Ranking - 08/27/08 04:21 AM
This post was stirred out of the overwhelming number of questions I get about how to optimize an ActiveRain blog and profile for the search engines.  I realize that many of you have outside blogs, and only use ActiveRain as a supplemental blog, but that is ok!  Your AR blog is still a very powerful tool, and one that should be optimized properly so it can be successful not only within the AR network and Localism, but on search engines too!
Here is a Basic SEO Quiz For You… “What is the number one thing search engines look at when deciding … (152 comments)

activerain: How I Sold My ActiveRain Profile for $6,750.00 - 11/16/07 11:01 AM
This will be my last post as Justin Smith of the Real Estate Tomato under this profile.  It was fun... but look for me to come back under a different profile real soon.

================
You heard it here folks.  Damion Foxworthy is now the proud new owner of my ActiveRain profile.  The story behind the sale follows...
I'm sure many of you have heard the controversy about the sale of MMORPG characters and goods.  It is quite an industry actually, complete with overseas sweatshops where workers will spend hours mining for gold in World of Warcraft, or building up … (244 comments)

activerain: Congrats to AR's Jon Washburn & Matt Heaton for Making Inman's Top 100 List - 09/20/07 11:21 AM

First of all, according to the results of my questions to ActiveRain members in the last post, nearly all of them had received a direct buyer/seller lead from ActiveRain… but I want to point out something else. I personally feel that the members of AR that aren’t getting any leads are either extremely new, … (76 comments)

activerain: 1 Year Anniversary With ActiveRain - Reflections, Observations & Questions - 09/11/07 05:16 PM
Today is my 1 year anniversary on ActiveRain… and I have some observations I’d like to share, and questions I’d like to ask the ActiveRain community.It has been an interesting ride.  I remember my first week vividly... I wrote like a mad man.  In the first 4 days, I wrote 3 posts per day, and hit 10,000 points in that first week.  I was addicted to the points, but most of all I was addicted to the community.  Name one other place on the internet for the real estate community where you can come on as a beginner, post something, and … (36 comments)
