Thanks to Richard Vetstein for this good article and reminder that we need to have our homebuyer clients get their insurance reviewed for condos, comparing the master insurance policy, deductibles and coverages, and make sure it's the new HO-6 required policy.

Unlicensed Contractor Can't Get Paid for Work Done Even if it is Completed Correctly - California law - 04/05/10 11:48 AM
It's been the law in California that a contractor must have a license to do work for a homeowner in order to get paid.
Sometimes a worker associated with a licensed contractor proposes to do work for a homeowner and use the license of somebody who isn't there.  What happens if the person with the contractor license is not around?
California law says that an unlicensed contractor cannot be paid for work done for a homeowner and must return money already received even if the work and project was completed correctly.
