business practices: Tips On Avoiding Loan Modification Scams ~ California Attorney General - 08/13/09 11:29 AM
Loan Modifications Scams have popped up in California big time. Our state Attorney General posts articles at its site with news on this ~ and how to Avoid Loan Modification Scams (click here). Five Tips to Avoid Being Scammed 1. Don't pay up-front fees. Foreclosure consultants are prohibited by law from collecting money before services are performed. 2. Don't ignore letters from your lender or loan servicer. Responding to those letters is your best bet for saving your house. 3. Don't transfer title or sell your house to a "foreclosure rescuer." Beware! This is a scam to convince homeowners they can

business practices: Foreclosure Prevention and Loan Modification Help The Right Way ~ If You Are Upside Down on Your Mortgage - 08/11/09 08:03 PM

business practices: Olympics Summer Games 2008 - Let's Expect Balanced Television Coverage & Journalism for Upcoming Bejing Olympics - 08/06/08 06:39 PM
Let's Watch The Upcoming Bejing Olympics and Expect Balanced Journalism. As a sports fan who enjoys watching and cheering for young people who work to train and do their best in athletic performances, I am not feeling completely positive about the upcoming Olympics in Bejing, China.First of all, I don't agree that the International Olympic Committee granted China's request to be host. China did not demonstrate that it deserve to be given the opportunity to host the Olympics. China is responsible for too much oppression of its own people, along the way forbiding anyone from expressing views that might tarnish the wonderful image of

Too many people purchased homes during the past five years with no or little down payment, based upon no document loans, and with lending practices so relaxed that mortgage agents and brokers participated with at least some knowledge that loans should not be approved and funded. Whose fault is that? Is it possible that mortgage brokers and lenders are at least partly responsible? However, even if it is determined that

"The Art of Life is to show your hand. There is no diplomacy like candor. You may lose by it now and then, but it will be a loss well gained if you do. Nothing is so boring as having to keep up a deception." -- E.V. Lucas, 1868-1938, prolific British author Posted by Harrison K. Long, Explore Group, April 3, 2008
