us independence day: Elvis Lives ~ Pacific Symphony July 4th Concert at Verizon Irvine Meadows - 07/08/11 05:42 PM
"ELVIS Lives" and appeared this year with Pacific Symphony Orchestra for the first of its summer concerts at Verizon Irvine Meadows Amphitheater on July 4, 2011.
It was a beautiful evening with darkness falling on Saddleback and mountains to the east.
We had fun singing along with ELVIS and his songs from that era ~ "All Shook Up" ~ "Love me Tender" ~ "Blue Suede Shoes" ~ "It's now or never" ~ "Hound Dog" ~ "Don't be cruel" ~ "Heartbreak Hotel" ~ "Suspicious Minds" ~ "I just can't help believing" ~ "Are you lonesome tonight?" ~ "Suspicion" ~ "Can't help falling in love" ~ and other favorites.

It's that special time of year for us to celebrate US Independence Day on July 4, 2010, and our national holiday.
I always like the July 4th patriotic parties, picnics, band concerts, sometimes a walk or run on the beach, and some fireworks at the end of the day.
Let's show respect and honor our US flag and this special event.
Let's also remember the real reason for this holiday is to honor the birth of our country and celebrate its US Independence Day.

us independence day: Woodbridge Village at Irvine has Fun US Independence Day Activities Scheduled - 07/02/10 07:32 PM
Woodbridge Village Association (homeowners association for the about 9,500 members) has great activities scheduled for residents, families and friends, this US Independence Day and July 4th weekend.
A kids fun run with later adult 5 and 10K runs are scheduled on July 4 starting at 9 AM.

On July 4, 1776, the Declaration of Independence, which was approved by the Continental Congress in Philadelphia, set the 13 colonies on the road to freedom as a sovereign nation. This adopted document later came to be known as the United States Declaration of Independence.

Special Celebration of our U.S. Independence Day
& City of Huntington Beach 100 Year Anniversary as a city.
Saturday, July 4, 2009 ~ 8:00 A.M.
Surf City 5K Run ~ (I ran this race many times with some friends)
Marching bands
Colorful floats
Kids with face paint, ice cream and cotton candy
Red, white and blue everywhere!
Celebrate this day and 105th Annual Huntington Beach 4th of July Parade!
