"When it rains it pours," as the old saying goes. Two weeks ago it started pouring. Upon the completion of my "100 Days to Change", I thought that things were looking up as I had 2 closing coming up and 3 other Offers to Purchase and Contract in the works. All 3 Offers to Purchase and Contract failed to work out, one of my closings ended up being terminated and my car blew up. Well there it is. Today was amazing! I've really been trying to move one of my listings by doing open houses every opportunity I have. Well, I was doing an open house today, Sunday, and had a suprising turnout. My Sunday open houses have been resulting with absolutely 0 traffic however today I had 6 families come thru. One family decided to return just as I was about to close down shop and said, "We want to make an offer." It took me a few minutes to realize what was going on. Yeah, you can say that I was in shock.

Between Wilmington, NC and Carolina Beach, NC on South College Rd/Carolina Beach Rd is an area locally known as Monkey Junction.
Why is it called Monkey Junction? Apparently, early in the 1900's, a service station owner decided to add live monkeys to his amenities in the hopes of attracting business from Pleasure Island visitors. Since the service station was located near the intersection of two main roads, the area commonly became known as "Monkey Junction". Day 31: Keep your eyes on Mama
The training wheels were off and we were all in the street excited about my oldest daughter's first true ride on her bike. My daughter was scared. She wanted the training wheels back on. "I can't do this," she said. "I'm scared." I stopped, collected my thoughts and realized she was overwhelmed with the mechanism itself. She was looking down at the bike, the pedals and the tears streaming down her face. No wonder she was overwhelmed. She was too involved with the mechanics.

Day 21: Feed the Pig
For me, my financials are in dire straits. In "Shift", Gary Keller talks about making adjustments to survive a shift in the real estate market. When the market is on the down turn you have to eliminate anything that you can to make it through. I am now in the process of eliminating any cost that I can to survive these lean times. Are any of you having to cut expenses to make it through this shift? If so, let me know some of the areas that you are cutting back on.

Day 17: Journal Entries
Be sure to stay on top of your journal entries. If you have joined "100 Days to Change" and somehow missed the part about purchasing a composition book to serve as your journal then don't freak out. It's not too late. Just go to any drug store or Walmart, look in the school supplies area and locate one of those basic Composition Books that have the black and white pattern on front and back and is bound with the solid black binding.
On the very first page, create a header called "Daily Affirmation".

Day 16: Addison Riley's 3rd Birthday and Christmas Eve!
It's Christmas Eve and not a lot of work is going on around my house today for you see, it is also Addison Riley's Birthday. I'm spending a lot of time with the family right now as I hope all of you are doing.

We have arrived. It is finally the last day before we start our "100 Days to Change". If you haven't already picked up your generic composition book, the kind you find in any drug store or Walmart, then do so. It's the black and white patterned one with the solid black binder. If you are unclear then just get some sort of notebook that will serve as your journal. I asked other group members to write down the Top 5 Things that they want to Change. The response was great!
