Big changes are happening at Bluewater Waterfront Grill on Wrightsville Beach, NC. Lou Moshakos, who purchased Bluewater Grill almost a year ago, is making a statement. He's devoted to making Bluewater Waterfront Grill one of the hottest, must experience, destinations in Southeastern Coastal North Carolina. Lou has made renovations to the Main Floor Dinning level by expanding the bar area to include six high-top tables which easily accommodate four patrons each. The high-tops allow great views of boats passing by on the Intracoastal Waterway. This sitting area is smoke-free but smokers don't be discouraged. Bluewater allows smoking in the upstairs Captains Lounge and in (1 comments)

wrightsville beach: Realtor ReCharge 2009 Wilmington, NC
- 02/06/09 01:03 AM
Yesterday afternoon, Robert Morris was invited to speak at the Blockade Runner on Wrightsville Beach, NC. Every year, our Wilmington Regional Association of Realtors Board invites motivational speakers to speak before participating Realtors. It is a great way to "ReCharge" after the typically slower winter months and get amped up for the coming "busy season". Robert Morris's message was "The Power of Being on Purpose In Business!" To very briefly summarize, Robert stated that in these times, if you are going to be in real estate as a Realtor then you had better sharpen your ax and get to it. You (1 comments)

Per Jonathan Washburn's request, I have compiled a report from our Wilmington Regional Association of Realtors Board(WRAR) which depicts what is going on with real estate in our local area. This report includes only single family homes within New Hanover County. At a later date, I may decide to include land, multi-family, boatslips and rentals but for now I will concentrate on reporting single family homes. For the week of 1/21/09-1/28/09, 125 single family homes went on the market, 3 homes came off the market, 2 homes went under contract and no homes sold. *All information included in this report is (1 comments)
wrightsville beach: North Carolina officially bans Vitex rotundifolia(Beach Vitex)
- 01/23/09 04:43 PM
Vitex rotundifolia, more commonly known as Beach Vitex is a woody, shrub-like plant that is native to the Pacific Rim. North Carolina State University introduced Beach Vitex to the Southeastern Coast of North Carolina in the 1980s as a preventative vegetation against dune erosion. Since the introduction of Beach Vitex, North Carolina has come to the conclusion that Beach Vitex is doing more harm than good and has officially banned this plant from the state. Beach Vitex grows at such a high rate it has been nicknamed "kudzu of the coast". It was originally introduced to the coast because the plant (0 comments)

Day 27: Local Secret I just discovered that blogging really can increase your presence in your local community. The best part about blogging is that you don't have to spend any money and all it really costs you is time. So if you want to market yourself, start blogging. Blog about relevent material though. Blog about your community. Be professional and try not to be bias. A great way to blog about your community is to blog about community events. It demonstates that you are informed and that you know what's going on. Localism.com will recognize you if you are actively (7 comments)

Day 26: Gone Fishing Does anyone know anything about fishing? Well if you don't, let me tell you a little bit about it. You can't catch anything unless you put a hook in the water. That's exactly what I'm doing with "100 Days to Change". Every single day I go fishing. Not for fish, but for real estate transactions. My goal is to put as many hooks in the water as I can to catch as many real estate transactions as I can. Think about it. Are you going to the office every single day and waiting for the phone to (9 comments)

Day 25: 1st Time Home Buyer Seminar Today my office gathered and talked about putting on an event to generate some business. "Let's have a 1st Time Home Buyer Seminar". Nothing new right? Well actually, how many real estate companies are really hosting events to generate business these days? It doesn't seem like many to me. Why not? Perhaps everyone has been glued to the tube and are believing all of the gloom and doom that they are hearing. What about the $7,500 rebate the government is offering for 1st Time Home Buyers? Sounds like a good incentive to buy a (2 comments)

Day 4 was a fun day for me. I decided to work a half day and then spend time with my wife and children at Disney On Ice. What a great day! Not only was I able to work with clients in the morning but I got to see those beautiful smiles on my children's faces as Mickey and Minnie Mouse pulled out onto the ice in their little red car. I'd like to take this time to tell everyone what my 5 Things I Want to Change are: 1. Improve my financial situation 2. Spend more time with my family (4 comments)
