List It Once - Sell It Twice - 08/28/11 10:19 PM
I can definitely relate to this. I m sure many of my colleagues can as well. Except my adage has been "third times a charm." I had to repost. Enjoy. Via Karen Crowson, ABR, SRES, Livermore, CA (Alain Pinel Realtors, Livermore, CA): List it once, sell it twice. Once upon a time a statement like that would have no context whatsoever. But unfortunately it probably rings true for most of us. Listing a property is just the first step in a process. And completed transactions these days often see buyers come and go for any number of reasons, including: Inability to qualify. Things (1 comments)
Who is listening on Facebook? - 08/17/11 11:32 PM
I thought this was a great perspective on using Facebook for prospecting. Everyone is trying to make a presence on Facebook, but how many people do you actually reach? Via Celeste Grupman -Stay in touch with your sphere, automatically. (Happy Grasshopper): Recently, Jeff Turner wrote this blog post -- Your Facebook Friends Are Not Really Listening. If there are 2400 homes for sale, the absorption rate will be 24 months or 2 years for all of the homes to sell. It is important to remember that this does not take into account the number of houses will be listed, and (1 comments)
ForSaleBYOwner.com Founder Sells Home- Using a Broker - 08/04/11 09:35 PM
I had to share this post from J. Phillips Real Estate. Some For Sale By Owner's (FSBO) are successful in selling their own homes, but in reality the majority are not. Often times those who are successful sell their home for much less than it is worth and end up losing the money they are trying to save anyway! For those who are not successful, they lose valuable market time, and put themselves in poor negotiatin positions when they decide to list because by that point they may be desperate. Mr. Sombrotto couldn't be a better example for Realtor's trying to (4 comments)
