Northern Virginia is a great place to live! There are things to do all over the Washington D.C. metro area. From NOVA (as we Virginians call it), it is an easy jaunt to Maryland or D.C. We have access to museums, monuments, theaters, events (and great shopping) throughout the area. If you are looking for something to do this weekend, The Washington Post is a great place to start. Excitement is building on both the North and South Sides of Reston...tomorrow night (9/16/10) is the annual Baron Cameron Bowl! Herndon High School, attended by the Reston high school students north of Baron Cameron Avenue, will host South Lakes High School, attended by the Reston high school students who live South of Baron Cameron Avenue, in what has become one of the biggest Football games of the season. Kick-off is 7:30 p.m. at Herndon High School, 700 Bennett Road, just off of Dranesville Road in Herndon, Virginia. Monday the weather is supposed to be great, so make plans to get out and enjoy good music and good wine (and some beer, too) at the Herndon, Virginia Labor Day Jazz and Wine Festival. Last night was the kick-off of the annual Herndon Festival in Herndon, Virginia. Although the evening started out with a thunderstorm, all was not lost as the clouds, thunder and lightning made it through by about 6:00 pm.
