National resale housing activity hit record high in Q1By Krystle Chow, Ottawa Business Journal StaffThu, Apr 26, 2007 3:00 PM ESTNational resale housing activity reached the highest level of any quarter in the first quarter of 2007, with a seasonally adjusted total of 129,219 homes sold in Canada during the period, according to the Canadian Real Estate Association.
Although the U.S. housing market has been experiencing a huge slowdown, the Canadian markets remain on solid ground, especially in western and central Canada, the report noted.

The Bank of Montreal has become the latest bank to offer personal concierge services to well-heeled clients. Through its new enCircle Exec program, BMO clients will be able to find a laundromat, a plumber, Jays tickets or pretty much anything they want, just by contacting their bank.

I wonder how many people did not know moving expenses are deductible?
Please read the article from the Chronicle Herald on the right for more information. I'm sure this will be good news for some people. If you are moving I hope it helps. I want to write a post, that is not about Real Estate, however I got so excited about this service I had to mention it.
As people know REALTORS® drive a lot. I have been looking for a new car and was thinking of the Jetta TDI which gets phenomenal gas mileage. However the question was to buy one now or wait for next model to come out. They are still selling the 2006 models and the 2008 model comes out about this time next year.

Good news if you are a property owner in Nova Scotia or anywhere in Canada for that matter. The average price of a resale home in Nova Scotia when up 9.3% from Feb. 06 to Feb 07!
This was more than I thought. Amazing how strong the housing market remains in Canada as America is struggling...
