Weird question, because it implies that looking stupid is a certainty, so you might as well pick in which way you will look stupid. Also, it is a little repressive. T-shirt or suit, Shorts or khakis. Hoodie or opera cape. It's like having to pick Salt or Pepper. "Why" must one choose? Fine: It is better to overdress. Because overdressing, you don't at first appear lazy. (If indeed you are lazy, why not push off the inevitable?) The first question you need to ask is"Can this be interpreted as a sign of disrespect?" And if that box is checked, I'm going (9 comments)

Vista, California is holding onto it goal of providing housing options for low-income residents despite uncertainty surrounding re-development, the City Council decided at a workshop. The city's top priorities to give the run-down Paseo Santa Fe corridor a major face-lift, relocate mobile home park residents living in what the city call "substandard housing" and develop living space for special needs groups such as foster children transitioning into self-sufficiency are in limbo while the California Supreme court determines the future of redevelopment in the state.

The Vista Irrigation District (VID) uses three sources for your drinking water. The First one is local water, which originates from the watershed and well field located near Lake Henshaw in Santa Ysable. VID owns the 43,000 arcre Warner Ranch which encompasses the lake and monitors any activity that could contaminate it. Water from Lake Henshaw is transferred to Lake Wohlford via a canal originally constructed in the the 1890s.
Once the water reaches the Escondido-Vista Water Treatment Plant it is treated and disinfected to protect you against microbial contaminants. The second water source is the Colorado River. The third (1 comments)
Professors no longer have to deal with student pleading for seats in closed classes. Cal State San Marcos students this fall will be able to join an online wait list, offered as a pilot program at the university. The system allows student to join a digital wait list for their desired classes at the time of registration and to track their status on the list. University officials say it's fairer, easier way for student to add the classes they need and allows faculty to better track class demand.

The City of Carlsbad may soon set its sights on making its 38 year old auto mall more aesthetically enticing in what the city hopes will be some symbiotic marketing. City officials hope revitalizing the area will boaster sales for the car dealerships, routing more sales tax revenue into the city's general fund. Car sales pour $6.5 million into city coffers at their peak in 2005. The city netted only $4.1 million last year. A 36% less than at the peak.

The present administration is pondering turning thousands of government owned foreclosures into rental properties to help boost falling home prices. The Federal Housing Finance Agency said Wednesday it is seeking input from investors on how to rent about 250,000 homes owned by government-controlled mortgage companies Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and the Federal Housing Administration.
