We had to put down our old friend last week after 4 days of colic! He was my wife's first purchase after we married 20 years ago! A beautiful sorrel quarterhorse, Ryder, had the heart of a saint and the spirit like no other. He took my wife from trail riding, to 3 day eventing to dressage as she (wife) transitioned in her horsey desires. He had been retired for several years with a bad knee that was getting worse and worse and it was only a matter of time anyway! We had injected, and treated that knee for years trying … (4 comments)
