It Was The Night Before Taxes!! LOL - 02/04/09 11:37 PM
'Twas' the night before taxes,
and all throught the house,
not a creature was stirring,
not even my spouse!!
Our money was hidden,
in the closet with care,
in hopes that 'Ole Uncle Sam',
Would not notice it there!!
The children were all nestled,
all snug in their beds,
in hope that St. Nicholas,
would be there with friends!
MaMa in her 'kerchief',
and I in my cap,
had just settled down,
for a long winters nap.
When out on the lawn,
we heard such a clatter,
It seemed 'Uncle Sam',
had something to chatter.

Can You Send Us Some Heat? - 02/03/09 05:03 PM
After overhearing a store clerk talking about her husband's recent visit to the hospital to treat carbon monoxide poisoning, and with the current temperatures being only 19 degrees, adding in the wind chill factor, it is a whooping 4 degrees here today in Genesee County...Those living in the south rarely see these blizzard like temperatures, and few know how bad times are here for some folks in Genesee County, Michigan. The fact that many are trying to conserve energy....which could be at the expense of thier life or the life of a loved one, I thought this post was long … (16 comments)
