Hiring a professional ... Before and after's - 06/26/09 05:56 PM
I decided to take a little time to review all of Home Harmony's projects. As with anything we do in life practice makes perfect (except Bejeweled Blitz). Although our projects where creative and our pace had quickened  our pictures never really portrayed HOW Good the work was in person. We all have our digitals with mega pixels, and zooms and whatnot but still every picture left us saying "you had to be there to see it". Well, that doesn't prove to be very practical when your trying to show a potential client your portfolio. So Michelle and Louise took it upon … (4 comments)

Old Fabric + Home Harmony = STAGED and $OLD! - 06/25/09 07:35 PM
Recently Home Harmony was called into look at an older property in the Town Of Mount Royal. (Montreal)
The owner had relocated to a beautiful retirement home in the same neighborhood 6 months earlier but up until now had not placed the home on the market. She had lived most of her married life in this home and had raised her family there for over 40 years ....she was having trouble parting with it.
She and her daughter were on site when we arrived to do a consultation. Although in her early 90's she was a feisty lady with a strong … (2 comments)

Painting the paneling Part 4 "Before and After's" of rooms that WERE. - 06/24/09 01:47 PM
This is the finale of the painted house ...
If you recall the dinning table ... (for lack of a better vision) was placed right in the middle of a traffic zone which is the central part of the home ... Home Harmony decided we would to turn the existing TV room into the dinning room ... a logical place considering it's just off the kitchen ... see what you think. Still can't believe what a little paint can do.

BEFORE & AFTER ... too bad we couldn't have removed the carpet ... in any case it still … (6 comments)

Painting the paneling Part 3 "Before and After's" of rooms that WERE. - 06/24/09 11:53 AM
Well, here they are the Before and After's of the painted spaces.  This charming 1940's, 4 bedroom house is beautifully situated on the waterfront with a HUGE backyard ... a perfect neighborhood to raise a family and entertain!
Home Harmony's first impression of this home was that it appeared dark and small even on a sunny day. We knew that this would greatly influence it's selling power and went to work trying to convince the owner that we NEEDED to paint.  With a small investment of time and money (paint) some of the key rooms were transformed. This helped to brighten … (5 comments)

Painting the paneling Part 2 "Before and After's" of rooms that were not. - 06/24/09 11:18 AM
There are one area in this home that we thought could really benefit from painting out the paneling. This area was smack in the middle of the home with all room leading off of it. For lack of a better idea the owners had placed their dinning table right in the middle of this traffic zone ...
In our opinion this would have been the best place to make a real impact. Visible from the entrance this area would have made the greatest impact on potential buyers and it definitely would have brightened the home... unfortunately the owner had reconsidered … (2 comments)

Painting the paneling Part 1. "Before and After's" of rooms that were not. - 06/24/09 10:46 AM
Hi all,
It's been a long time coming but I promised I would post  the results.
We were able to talked the owner into painting much of the home ... but unfortunatelly before all the work was carried out he had been influenced by his family (sister) not to do all our recmendations. ALthought it could have been so much better we still think the changes we were able to make will have a positive inpact on how this home will be shown.

JUST IMAGINE IF THEY HAD BEEN PAINTED!
