baltimore restaurants: Monday Afternoon Lunch - 12/26/16 07:11 PM

It was a delightful afternoon with friends, good conversation, a lovely restaurant and wonderful food.
What a treat...an invitation for lunch that took up the entire afternoon.
We dined at Facci's, an upscale modern restaurant, located in Ellicott City.
The food was delicious from the beautifully presented appetizers to the entrees and dessert.

Take a look below at the slide show.

Love the decor, with so many interesting and natural textures, including wood, cut stone, tile, plus a floor to ceiling wall of glass displaying hundreds of bottles of wine.

Did you notice the floating fireplace and the huge bulbous pizza oven?  It is red in case you missed it.  I even had to show you … (20 comments)

Three Crazy Chicks In Baltimore

Each week we three Crazy Chicks get together enjoying  a different  Baltimore restaurant.
Our most recent eateries Ruth Chris's, Joey Chiu's and Christopher Daniels have had the pleasure of our company.

We like dining at these  special places but what we really love is the gourmet friendship and delicious conversation.

We are so busy chatting that I no longer photograph the food.

Sonny Lee's Hunan Taste...Lunch in the Baltimore Area This week we enjoyed a lovely lunch at Sonny Lee's Hunan Taste located at 750 Main Street in Reisterstown, Md. Since I always have my camera ready, I took a few pictures to show you and maybe even make you a bit hungry.

The dish on the top row Moo Shu Chicken (shredded chicken sauteed with cabbage, carrots, mushrooms, bean sprouts and scallions) is served with pancakes and plum sauce. There was plenty for all three of us to try...yummy. The second row Hunan Chicken (sliced chicken sauteed … (8 comments)

Baltimore Restaurant Sushi Sakura There were eleven of us dining at Sushi Sakura, our first visit to this restaurant even though it is right in the heart of Pikesville next to the Gucci Giant.  Our lovely waitress, Cindy, was superb. All the orders were right and served with a big smile.

Orders to remind me to take pictures, were not followed. Having so much fun, a variety of foods and good conversation, I forgot to take photos of our dishes. So what does one do when this happens? You go to the … (17 comments)

Meet Me At Joey Chiu's in Baltimore's  Green Spring Station           Had a delightful evening at Joey Chiu's located in Green Spring Station which is so close to this  contemporary rancher - 12325 Falls Road. An elegant restaurant that was wonderfully busy on this Friday night. So thankful that my special client who is looking for a home in Baltimore  asked us to join them for dinner.  When  TLH  and I arrived, our friends  were waiting at the bar and we were seated right away. baltimore restaurants: Another Baltimore Restaurant ...Carrabba's - 10/27/12 01:33 PM

Another Baltimore Restaurant...Carrabba's Found a new favorite restaurant when taking my sellers out after a recent settlement. Their choice of where to dine and since we were already in the Hunt Valley area they suggested Carrabba's.

What a good choice! The pastas homemade, salads were fresh, all the dishes were delicious, served with care and looked and tasted so yummy. So busy enjoying the company, I forget to take photos of the food. No problem. I just went back to the open kitchen and the staff was glad to accommodate by 'posing' the dishes.                       Another Baltimore … (8 comments)

Next Time You're Hungry, We'll Be Open! Denny's in Westminster, MD
Thinking I was late for an 11:30 AM showing  at 3301 Kelsey Court in New Windsor, I called the seller to let them know I was on my way. Opps..good thing I checked. The showing was for 12:30. Perfect timing since I had not had breakfast. We had enough time to grab a bite but not enough for a leisurely meal. We stopped at Denny's in Westminster. They were quite busy but not too busy to make us feel welcome.  We were seated right away, our orders were taken … (7 comments)

baltimore restaurants: Family, Fun and Food on Friday the 13TH - 01/13/12 03:59 PM
Family, Fun and Food on Friday the 13TH It was a family get together to share good times with Elliott and Linda Puretz who came into Baltimore from Boston. Even though it is Friday the 13th, no one in this group has 'friggatriskaidekaphobia' Mari Luna was filled to overflowing with loud noisy happy customers. (Many people who have friggatriskaidekaphobia are not able to go out on this day). You can walk to my new listing just a couple of blocks to 105 Church Lane Pikesville, MD 21208   It was a fun evening with lot of catching up, reminiscing and sharing … (9 comments)

baltimore restaurants: Dining in Baltimore... Bluestone - 02/20/11 10:30 PM
Time to celebrate a wonderful friend's birthday with dinner at Bluestone  located at 11 W. Aylesbury Road, Timonium, MD 21093. This is an upscale seafood restaurant but also has a good selection of steaks and grills.
There were seven of us and the food and company were delightful. Our waiter, Andy, did his job with perfection..and he was really attentive and cute!
So again lots of good conversation but  once again, it was too late! I forgot to photograph the food even though I promised not to.

baltimore restaurants: McCabes in Baltimore, MD is for Great Comfort Food! - 12/11/10 11:43 PM

After our visit to Hampden and taking photos for my latest post...Miracle on 34th Street...Baltimore,Maryland Style, we stopped a McCabes for dinner. We had not been to this restaurant at 3845 Falls Road since it closed about a year ago.
We are delighted with the new McCabes and its selection of good home-style comfort food. The place is not very big, only ten tables and a bar that seats 15, but that's enough for a local neighborhood bar, which is full but not too crowded. The noise level is a bit high because of the size and the brick walls. … (17 comments)

baltimore restaurants: Are We On The Right Track in Baltimore, MD? - 05/17/10 11:11 AM
Are We On The Right Track in Baltimore, MD?
With so much to do in Baltimore, MD, you might well ask, "Are we on the right track?" And even though the Preakness race was run at Pimlico Race Course this past Saturday, the track I'm talking about is not for the horses that run on four legs.
We met friends for dinner the other night and wanted to try some place new. We let themsurprise us on the restaurant choice - that saves so much time and awkwardness with, "Where do you want to go?" "Your choice, what are you in … (11 comments)

baltimore restaurants: Baltimore, Maryland in January - A Great Time to Visit! - 11/21/07 02:07 AM
Okay, it's not Palm Beach or LA so you can't expect balmy weather. Baltimore is in the mid-Atlantic and that means we get chilly in January. But it's still a good time to visit, and I'm glad to have a chance to point out some of my favorite things about this city. Thanks to Margaret Harrington for asking!
There's no season for history, and Baltimore has plenty. O say can you see? Of course you can at Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine. In September 1814, the star-shaped fort was the site of the Baltimore of Baltimore. On a ship … (16 comments)
