HomeRome Blogs Review Trying to figure out my popular posts this year? Not sure which ones were better by the stats, so I checked them all. VIEWS, COMMENTS, LIKES, or CLICKS. In each category, I took the first 12. Guess It depends on how you look at the stats. My favorite thing about this exercise... I really love being able to see the links to my blogs and being able to read them quickly. Have you tried this with your posts?
New Year's Eve I wrote a post Let's Go Look At Houses. It received over 100 comments and more than 2000 clicks. I really do pride myself in responding almost all the time.
You get a load of comments from special people who take their valuable time to stop by and say hi, compliment you, agree with you or say some other (17 comments)
Following other members, I find they have a pattern or routine. Some write first thing in the morning or write certain posts on certain days. Some write ten...a full week's maximum and post them all at once. Some write a lot of posts and keep them in draft. Others write various back-up posts. With the new ActiveRain feature, members can choose what day in the future to make them live. Some members write on "the fly" using voice recognition, iPad or iPhone. Some start lots of different posts, (58 comments)

And The Heck With SEO, Enjoy The Comments.. It is time to write Localism posts for SEO, thanks to Bob's encouragement. Yesterday when I left my box of keys in the other car and could not reach Lee to meet up and retrieve them, I had to change my schedule. When I did speak with him, he told me the container of keys were on the roof of my car!!! Oh no!!!! (22 comments)

Gold Stars and My iPad Another Simple Way to Use the iPad When Commenting. Oh no, not another gold star! (This old post received 170 comments and took on a life of its own.) I thought this featured stuff was all figured out. You just write a post that is good enough to get read but not good enough to get featured! When that happens...when that cute little gold star appears at the bottom of your blog, you better be ready for lots of comments and lots of time responding. (19 comments)
You can get blog ideas by reading posts, making comments and following the comments. Here is an example.
Less than ten days ago Kathleen Moriarty wrote asking for help. Please take a moment to read ..Insight needed from AR members regarding moving my business. After reading about her upcoming marriage, her move and a company change...I left Kathleen a message along with this advice. ''How about doing a series of blogs? ' Getting married in month" "Getting married in 3 weeks" ''Moving in a month"..Moving in a week". I (16 comments)
Active Rain Works...My Challenge - Can We Prove It? There were so many more winners in this contest than just the 13 names listed below...starting with counting myself a winner with the idea. My sellers are winners getting their properties seen by people all over the country. ActiveRain is a always a winner by having so many professionals making our industry so much better. Those who commented are winners. Those who made contact either by email or phone are winners..thank you all and you know who you are. Remember the game we've all played where one person whispers something to another and that person whispers the message to another? By the time it gets through half a dozen people or more, the end version is nothing like the original. Jeanean's post yesterday, Seth Godin Says the Individual Blog is Dead! and the more than 75 comments show that this same thing happens in blogging. That all-important exclamation point changed the meaning completely, and people reacted as much to the punctuation as the words. In his blog, "Death of the personal blog?" Seth was askingif the individual blog was (42 comments)
comments: Talk the Walk or Walk the Talk?

At 8:00 a.m. I'm walking. And, being a Type E, I can't do just one thing at a time, so I've been thinking about how to combine the walking with something I love to do – talking to other real estate professionals, especially mentoring new agents. Then I thought, is there any way I could combine the walking and talking with some giving back to the Active Rain community? The Lovely Wife made a good point about comments and reciprocity. When we look to AR for support and comments on our posts, we should be looking at ourselves to see if (28 comments)
Oh no, not another gold star. Please, no more gold stars! You know the story of Bre'r Rabbit don't you? If not go read it, I will wait for you.
In Active Rain, if you are NOT lucky, your post winds up featured. You get lots of comments, but then you have to take the time to answer each one.
I suppose I could answer them all like a true Type E and say to everyone, "Thanks for the comment." But I don't think people will like that; this is not how to make friends on AR. We need to be answered, and I really need plenty of time (214 comments)
