crafts: Arts and Crafts...A Bit of Humor .....HomeRome Tour - 12/09/10 04:52 PM
This past week, while visiting one of my sellers, I was able to tour their art collection. Being a former ceramic and porcelain artist and attending many craft shows, it is always a pleasure to see what other's choose for their home. Got permission to photograph a few pieces and want to share them with you. Love the whimsy and humor in some of these pieces.

It's an annual treat for me and my friend/publisher Peg Silloway. We both have spent part of our lives working in crafts, and this one day is a chance to recharge our creative batteries and see what's happening in the world of fine handcrafts.

There are some old favorites we always check in with, like glass artist Josh Simpson. His work is exquisite and Peg is a collector. This … (22 comments)

crafts: Such Beauty..... Winter Craft Show in Baltimore - 02/28/09 03:56 PM
It was a warm 60-degree day in Baltimore and what better way to spend it than with a best friend, also an artist, at the juried American Craft Council show? Last year Peg and I didn't go the first day because of the ice, but it's a show we try to see every year for the fun and creative inspiration it provides.
What does this have to do with real estate and blogging? Let's go green! Most crafts, wood, ceramic, glass, weaving, metals etc., by nature are already green. This year, green seemed to be the theme of the show. Many booths displayed the … (16 comments)
