inner harbor: A Nice Baltimore Visit
- 04/11/17 08:51 PM
Spending time with friends and family, this past week, was a nice break from real estate. Take a look at the slide show to see some of Baltimore. We walked the Inner Harbor, visited Sideshow at the American Visionary Art Museum (AVAM) and met the delightful owner, Ted. His comment was so true...'Come in shopping and leave smiling!' We also visited a few favorite restaurants and just enjoyed the lovely spring weather. With a high of 86º on Tuesday, it was more like a summer day. It was such a nice visit in Baltimore.

inner harbor: Baltimore, Maryland in January - A Great Time to Visit!
- 11/21/07 02:07 AM
Okay, it's not Palm Beach or LA so you can't expect balmy weather. Baltimore is in the mid-Atlantic and that means we get chilly in January. But it's still a good time to visit, and I'm glad to have a chance to point out some of my favorite things about this city. Thanks to Margaret Harrington for asking! There's no season for history, and Baltimore has plenty. O say can you see? Of course you can at Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine. In September 1814, the star-shaped fort was the site of the Baltimore of Baltimore. On a ship

inner harbor: It's Weird Down Here!
- 07/21/07 04:15 PM
It was another beautiful day, and we decided to have a "vacation" in Baltimore one day at a time. We recently visited Fell's Point, and this day it was our own Inner Harbor. We slipped into a convenient parking space and proceeded to act like tourists, enjoying the sights along the waterfront. The dragon paddle boats are always popular in the summer, and there's a water taxi for those of us who prefer to let an engine do the paddling. Baltimore's World Trade Center soars above the harbor, with a 27th floor observation deck for stunning views. Moored down below along

inner harbor: Get To the Point…Fell's Point in Baltimore
- 07/14/07 07:14 AM
After several days of high heat and creeping humidity, the weather broke and brought warm, cheerful skies. It was absolutely perfect for wandering about the cobblestone streets of Fell's Point. This historic waterfront community, east of Baltimore's Inner Harbor, is sprinkled with shops, restaurants, and lively pubs. Fell's Point is a National Register Historic District dating back to the Colonial era. Englishman William Fell bought the land in 1726 and saw the potential for shipbuilding in colonial America. Later, his son and widow divided the land and sold lots beginning in

inner harbor: Baltimore Loves Outdoor Movies
- 07/12/06 01:22 PM
Wednesday, July 12, 2006 Baltimore Loves Outdoor Movies Summer means outdoor activities in Crab Town, and they don’t stop when the sun goes down. At 800 Key Highway, just down from Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, is the American Visionary Art Museum. It’s a destination in itself, but on two more Thursdays – July 13 and July 27 - they add films to the art already outside. From 9:00 to 11:00 p.m. the AVAM shows classic films and the price is right…Free! Bring a blanket and a picnic, and enjoy “Strictly Ballroom” on the 13th, and “West Side Story” on the 27th.Looking

- 07/08/06 12:24 PM
You Can’t be Bored in Baltimore Summers in Baltimore are full of opportunities for indoor and outdoor fun. The season’s warming up, and this holiday weekend finds the city in full swing.Baltimore’s Inner Harbor is the place to be for the next few days. Of course there are fantastic fireworks on Independence Day, but that’s just the culmination of a day-long celebration. Come enjoy the street performers and bands at the Harbor Place amphitheater, stroll around for tempting food choices, and find a great spot to watch the fireworks - orchestrated to music! The Museum of Industry is well worth a stop,
